I'm curious why you swore your next cruise was going to be RC and why you decided to book with Disney again?

I ask because while we booked this cruise while on our last one a few weeks ago, we were also debating whether we'd keep it or to do RC or even Carnival instead.

Welcome aboard!

Well, we have done RC and Carnival before and liked both of them. We really expected a big "WOW" factor from Disney. Neither my husband or I were overly impressed, we thought it was pretty much the same as the other boats, activities were the same, bingo was the same etc.....

My oldest LOVED it, he is 13 and really wanted to do another Disney. My 2 little ones, 6 & 8 loved it also however; they would be equally happy on the other lines.

So....we have very good friends traveling on this cruise. They have a son that hangs with my oldest. Then, other friends decided to cruise with us, have never cruised, and wanted to do Disney.

Don't get me wrong, I am a Disney freak, I am just not sure that DCL is worth the premium price. So, I will give it one more try. I will say, I am going on the Oasis or Allure of the Seas in the very near future !

I LOVED the Dis meet and the FE group. THis alone was enough for me to say Ok to everyone!

Hi Everyone....Well, we just got off the Wonder and I swore our next cruise was going to be RC....but, here I am again!

Can I get in the FE/meet for this sailing, please :)

Kim
Ken
Son, Quentin 14
Daughter, Jolicia 9
Son, Antonio, 7

Friends will be traveling with us....she is going to join the DIS as she also wants to participate.

Can't wait to meet you all!

Ok, we switched to the 10-2 sailing due to a significant price difference! Maybe I will meet all of you on another future cruise!

New to this, but we are going to be on this same cruise. I usually try to find out all the info I can before going somewhere and ended up here! Looks fun! Our family of 7 is so excited to go!

I got a paper in the mail telling me my dining and show time. We are on the 6 dining and 9 show.

I need to start thinking about what I want to get for disney tag.

I have the 2 girls that will be 8 and my DH and I.

Welcome, Its a great site - ask any questions you like

I think thats what we requested too. No paperwork yet though so I'll just have to wait and see

We reserved 2 inside staterooms that are connected. We keep on getting letters and confirmations for my room, but not the room my husband is in. I guess I'll be going with out him?

If anyone has any tips or suggestions, I'll welcome anything you would like to offer--especially for special needs.

Here's the ages of my kiddos--DS16, DD 14, DS 12, DD 10, DS 7

Who has the special needs? Disney are usually excellent with that, I'm sure there is a medical form you need to fill in. My son has a severe nut allergy so we always have to complete one for his dietary needs. Ask on the cruise forum if you have specific questions - everyone on here is very helpful and some have been cruising for years so have all the answers :goodvibes This will be our 3rd Disney cruise so we're still novices!

I got a paper in the mail telling me my dining and show time. We are on the 6 dining and 9 show.

We got our letter on Saturday too! We have the early dinner at 6 and the late show at 9. It was interesting to read about how they want to try to do the shows this time... with a set show time for everybody. I wonder if that is just a suggested time, or is it like dinner and that it IS your assigned showing...

I am not too happy about our dinner and show times. We got a 5pm show and a 8ish dinner. One of the reasons I chose late dinner was so we don't have to rush from excursions. But with a 5pm show time we certainly will have to pick the earlier excursion. I wonder if you can go to switch it on the first day? Although when I called all they could offer me was a 7pm show and 9pm dinner.

Our information came in the mail yesterday as well. 5pm show with 6pm dinner. Will probably work out well for our group with a 3, 4, and 5 year old in the mix... Would have preferred dinner then show but at the same time don't want to have to rush through dinner to get to a 7:00 show, and I know my DD (4) will not make it all the way through a 9:00 show...

With the late dinner we always took a mid afternoon nap that helps tons. :surfweb:

My oldest son (16) has autism. He is high functioning, but really nervous in new situations. He is really excited about the video games, but not much else appeals to him. Thankfully he has a sister that can go to the teen club with him and help him out if he needs it.
He is developmentally like a 10 year old. I don't know what kind of rules they have if he would like to go with his younger brothers and sister to the tween or even oceaneer lab/club. It may be something we just have to go and see what will happen. He may just spend most of his time watching disney movies in the cabin or theater. (He is now on his third time of watching "beauty and the beast" today.)
Does the ship feel really crowded? If so, are there places other than the stateroom that are less crowded, but still able to take part in the action? My son has a hard time and gets very agitated in crowds. I'm also a little worried about the dining if it feels too crowded.

We just booked on this cruise for our first Disney cruise!:banana::banana: It's actually only my second cruise and my families first cruise (ok, well, DH has been on many "cruises" overseas with the USMC but that doesn't count. ;)) It will be me and DH (44) and our two youngest sons (9 & 15). The youngest is really looking forward to the Duck and the oldest to getting away to the Teen club. I'm excited to join you all!!
