Once Again,The Never To Early May 2006 Thread

We will be there in May just not sure of our dates yet.We walways go for at least 8 days.So I know we will be there just dont know where yet. So who else is with me?

We have been in March and in April but never May. We are looking at the first week in May for next year, so I'm anxious to hear what others that have been at that time have to say.

I'm still in the middle of planning our Nov/Dec trip and here I am beginning to plan for May. Some people may think that's crazy but it's so much fun to be that kind of crazy!

You will LOVE the first week of May.The weather is Wonderful and the crowds are nearly non existant.We have always went in May,it is our favorite time to go other than first of December.
My DH is a Star Wars fan and he has to go in May for SWW.
So you need to give May a try.

That sounds wonderful! I hadn't even thought about the SWW. My DS is a huge SW fan and so am I! Will that be going on the first weekend in May?

Going with my sister May 19-23 - anyone know of anything that makes the crowds particularly bad that weekend (weekend b/w mother's day and memorial day)?

We'll be there May 6-13, 2006. It'll be the third year in a row we've gone in early May. The first year was record high temps, in the 90s. Second year was perfect, in the 80s (which I hear is "normal). This past year it was unseasonably cool and cloudy, in the 70s. Needed a sweatshirt at night! Go figure!

I will agree the crowds are very small -- not as small as when we go in early December, but not anywhere near summer levels. The EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival is terrific and definitely one plus for that time of year.

I want to go for a weekend in May because Everest should be open by then.

It'll be DVC but I don't know where and I don't know when.

We're going the 1st week or 2nd week of May, for about 8 days, but we're not sure of the dates yet. Does anyone know when SWW will be? My DS7 is a huge fan.

Most of the time SWW do not start until the 2nd or 3rd weekend in May.I am not sure how it will be next year though.
I will see if I can find out anything.

We are in Florida the last week of April and first week of May. I'm really looking forward to this trip as it's my birthday on the 4th. I'm hoping for warm weather and low crowds and looking forward to Expedition Everest

We will be there from May 2-6, staying at the WL. We are celebrating dd's 1st b-day w/the mouse!

Oh, I agree that the 1st week of May is great. It's my favorite time to go. Dd was born on a good week to plan a WDW b-day around!

Ooh-h-h, OK! I'll fess up. We're booked for the first week of May at the YC. Afterall, sometimes you've just got to stop and smell the roses!!

We are thinking about going May 6th-13th. It will be our third trip. The first was Easter week 2002 which was horrible and the second was September 2004, which was fantastic--perfect weather(between the hurricanes) and no crowds. I am glad to hear that early May is a great time to go.

Probably the last week in May and still don't know where. My kids want to go back to AKL! Had to cancel our Christmas trip this year due to lack of funding

We're going May 27-June 4 and staying at SOG. DH and I really wanted to stay in another Disney resort, but our other family members made the overall decision to stay here. That's ok though, we'll stay Disney during our 2nd trip next year!

We are booked for April 27 to May 5 at POFQ. I already have a rough idea of where and when I want our ADR. We will be on the dining plan. I cannot wait to go. I cannot believe DH was the one to bring up going and for 8 nights at that. The only thing I had to agree to was not to whine about wanting to fly, so we will be on the road driving down from WI. We did it last year, so I can do it again.
