When our daughter was 18 we went on the 7 day eastern Disney cruise, she had a friend with her (another DVC member family went with us) and she and her friend went to the teen room (Common Grounds) and asked if they could hang out there. Usually it's 13-17 yr. olds. But the two girls had a blast all week doing fun stuff. Their team won the week long competition.
This year they were 20 yr. olds. They enjoyed all the shopping and snorkling trips. They did go to Senor Frogs in Cozumel because drinking age was 18. The drinking age on the Disney Ship is 21. Which is fine by me.
They had fun together on the ship and hung out with their brother (22) and his friend (21) but didn't get to mingle much with others their ages. Because no activities.
I would classify this age group as Tweeners. They don't always like hanging with the adults (parents) at all the shows.
We're planning our next Disney Trip with a bunch of ladies here at work, and we'll take my daughter again, she'll be 21 then. But of course she likes to shop
