Onboard placeholder booking questions

we tried this past april on the fantasy but were told we had to use a credit card. your mileage may vary.

Interesting - I wonder if it's changed or just an uninformed crew member. I have definitely used a Disney Gift Card to reserve all my onboard bookings - including the one I booked in February.

In March, I booked a placeholder using my DVA which I think would be entered similar when using a DGC.

sounds like it's not across the board then. would love to be able to use a gift card or my DVA for future placeholder bookings!
