Onboard airline check in

Is onboard airline check in available on the Magic for flight out of Barcelona. My flight out of BCN airport departs at 11:10am on the day if disembarkation. Wondering if this service is available and any details would be appreciated.

Also any recommendations for private transfer company from port of Barcelona to the airport. We are Currently booked with Disney ground transportation, but worried that we may not have enough time.

I'm not sure - I know they have Onboard Airline Check in for Port Canaveral/Orlando. And Miami. I'm not sure they have it for Barcelona.

I do know, to participate in the OBA check in program you have to have either purchased your air transportation through DCL or are using DCL transfers from port to airport.

OK, looked it up - there are ground transfers from DCL. And your flight back home in order to participate in the program is no earlier than 11:30 am.

That said, I'm not sure there's actual airline check in. For international flights you have to check in yourself at the airport.

One can do checkin online for international flights - it saves a little time at the airport. For OP’s question, I think you’ll have to do it yourself using shipboard internet. I don’t think it is offered as a service like you get at some hotels.

OP you’re referring to the program where they check your bags for you? Not just checking in online for your flight, right?

Don't know. I was just posting what I found on the DCL website:

Ground transfers are available on embarkation and debarkation days only, for an additional fee, for those making their own flight arrangements. To add transfers to your cruise package, call (800) 951-3532 at least 3 days prior to vacation commencement date. Please be prepared to provide your inbound and outbound flight details.

Please allow ample time for all your travel connections. We recommend the following flight-time guidelines:

• Latest arrival time to Barcelona International Airport on Embarkation Day: 1:30 PM
• Earliest departure time from Barcelona International Airport on Debarkation Day: 11:30 AM

Barcelona to the airport is 35/45 minutes, there is a rolling service of DCL coaches and plenty of taxis outside.
Disembarkation is fast, with border clearance about 7.30 am.

That flight is ok.

Check in online the day before.

If worried go by taxi..

The city taxis the yellow and black ones are regulated and run very well with set prices, I recommend, them.

Transfer companies I would suggest, " Sun Transfers" they have set times.

You can book online, sellect the port, sellect the car, they give a good price, there is a text service and confirmation.

I book with them after a bad experience with another transfer company that 1/ didn't show and on another trip 2/ was an hour late.

If your cruise is a weekend the taxi should not get hit with traffic, weekdays and at rush hour may get a bit if traffic. Any flight say 10.30 onwards should be ok, we have had ours at that time and had sit down Main breakfast.

Barcelona port has added a ship to terminal " bridge" in recent years that has aided embarkation and disembarkation
