And OMG it's so amazing! Just got to Skagway where the high is going to be 46.

We made it all the way to Dawes in Endicott yesterday! We were on the excursion boat and saw whales and a bald eagle as well as a lot of seal pups. CD Karly said they didn't expect the Wonder to make it to the glacier but they did.

We have sailed the Dream once and are loving the Wonder more than expected. I will try to answer questions if I can.

Thanks so much for the update. Given the reports on Tracy Arm, I'm hoping they continue to go to Endicott when we go next month. We have the excursion boat booked as well and I was thinking of cancelling it based on the Tracy Arm reports.

How are the Alaska items in the shops? Do they still have the Tervis cups and Alaska blankets?

Who is working for Carly as the Cruise Staff Team (the people in the blue and red striped shirts running the family and adult activities)?

They definitely still have blankets in the shops -- not sure what a Tervis cup is but will try to find out.

The excursion boat was really wonderful, esp bc we are traveling with a group of six kids ages 4 to 14. We were able to get so close to everything, the naturalist was great, there was free hot chocolate and donuts -- definitely will be a highlight of the trip! The kids never would have watched as long from, say, deck 9.

The only other entertainment guy I know is DJ Marlon, LOL! And he is great. If I hear the names of the others again I'll let you know.

Also I definitely got the impression that DCL's first choice is Endicott. The excursion boat captain was telling us how much Dawes has receded in even two weeks -- pretty depressing.

Thank you so much!! My daughter and I are doing the excursion boat so she can practice her photography. So we are really hoping to get a little closer to things :)

Two weeks ago Brian was the club host. There was also Stephanie, Ryan, Kim, but I didn't catch other names really.

What are the odds of getting a pic of those adorable pups (when you aren't using the ships' data)...?

Should be perfect for that -- lots of people with really big lenses on the boat. It's only 150 people and there are inside and outdoor decks. We got much much closer to everything than the Wonder did.

I was just on that ship last week and had a fantastic time. Enjoy your cruise! Alaska is amazing!

Sadly we are at the airport now awaiting our flight. Such an amazing trip!

The only entertainment staff we ever met was Brian and Mia. Pretty sure Brian is getting off the ship today tho.

Excursions: we did Grizzly Falls zip lining in Skagway and loved it! Gorgeous and a total blast. We were supposed to do a seaplane flight in Juneau but it got cancelled bc of weather. We did go on our afternoon whale watch -- it was fun. We saw about 7 whales total. Then in Ketchikan we went on the rainforest family adventure. We had a terrific guide and all 14 of us really enjoyed it.

The salmon are starting to run -- locals were fishing off the bridge in Ketchikan and catching them pretty easily.

Our weather was not fantastic -- we definitely used our layers and rain pants. It added to the adventure though!

The Frozen show was spectacular and different (staging and special effects) from the one at DCA.

The four older cousins (ages 11,12, 13, 14) all enjoyed Edge.

This was definitely the trip of a lifetime! Let me know if you have any questions.
