I think part of it may be just getting into the holiday season. Of course a time for lots of planning and extra errands for many.

I was thinking it was the holidays too, Barbara. But I've been enjoying these exchanges, so I've been "s"queezing them into my days!

Holidays haven't affected them before. I think there is just a general lessening in participation in the exchanges in general.
Like the holiday Yankee candle has about 12 this year, but in the past it has had 25 or more.
maybe just the economy in general.....not sure.
But I like them all year.
We'll keep doing the alphabet until it is done......hopefully there will be more than 2 people by the end.

The economy is a good reason too. I know I really think hard about doing some of them, and it's a big reason why I've mostly done the alphabet ones lately. I can get the items inexpensively, and shipping them can be inexpensive too. The price of shipping exchanges is what's been turning me off lately. That's why I like the YC one--I can have them ship for $5.

YC shipping is a bargain.
A flat rate medium box costs over $10 to ship, so it does add up.

I've had to cut down on my exchanges too. Unfortunately, the shipping does start to add up...I do plan on continuing with the alphabet exchange though. And of course, my kids can't wait for the pin exchange coming up.
