On to healthy living......

Don't feel spoiled for having a pool...in some parts of the country it's a must have. (Not in mine...but there are a few in the neighborhood and they look pretty green right now too.)

When I was little, my grandparents had one near Salt Lake City. They were very generous people and the neighborhood took extreme advantage of them. Sadly, they chose to sell the home rather than to try and limit access. But it was great for me who lived with them at the time - I don't ever remember learning to swim - it was more natural to me than walking.

I do hope you are able to solve the pool puzzle and that it won't put you into the "reach for food" mode. You are doing so well - 21 lbs gone!

Thank you for checking up on my in my journal. Your kind words sure helped me get back to work without too much sadness this week.

Do be careful about your pool - and hopefully you'll have some of the parents help lifeguard while their kids swim. (I worked my way through college as a paralegal and have witnessed the worst of human nature and their something for nothing mentality.)

We have neighbors on our block too that are especially annoying...or maybe it's just the house, since its previous occupants were equally annoying. This family's dad is a local police officer (not a problem - except that he let's his aggressive dogs run the block and complaints to animal control are ignored...they haven't attacked and drawn blood yet...), the mom likes to take time out in my backyard at my patio furniture and leave icecream wrappers and the like right there on the table! She encourages her children to come pick my blue berries and flowers. Believe me, there has never been an invitation to do either. We don't want to fence in the backyard - we love our neighbors on each immediate side and across the street as well. Well at least the eccentricities make life entertaining.

I really belive in karma - backstabbers usually receive the same at some point. It sure can be a long wait for comeuppance though.

As for the gym closing...I heard of this happening - but if you are paying a certain amount of cash each month to belong, shouldn't you have access to it during scheduled business hours? Just because it isn't busy doesn't mean that people may have scheduled their workout time an hour or so before the scheduled closing time. The owner should discount you dues the next month for your inconvience. Only fair.

Have a really great holiday weekend!

Wow wilderness!
Sounds like last night's workout was a good one!::yes:: My DH had me do an upper body workout this weekend that he designed and I am sore! (I just don't want to admit that too loudly... He might hear me.;) )

I hope that you get everything straightened out with your pool. I'm sorry that is so frustrating for you. Maybe, it will clear up and you won't have to empty it.::yes:: That would be nice, huh?:teeth:

Have a wonderful day today! Keep up the good work!!

 Hi Wilderness,
Sorry you are having so many problems with your pool. I hope you will be swimming soon :fish: :D . Don't worry about sounding spoiled in your journal. We all have issues in our life that are stressing us out and even though other people's problems may seem bigger, ours are still important ::yes:: . Did that make sense  ??

Congrats on that awesome workout yesterday :Pinkbounc :bounce: ! I think it's great you had the energy to workout for 2 hours.

Hope you had a wonderful weekend :sunny: !

Hi Wilderness!

Your work out sounds great. I was just stopping by to see how things are going with you. Take care!

Did ok with the cardio this am. Will do weights and cardio tomorrow. I feel tired today. I worked last night, have to work again today and tomorrow. I feel kind of bloated today:( . I will need to push the water today. I will check in later.

Ok so I changed the title to my journal because my kids asked me why I was a lurker!;)

Hope everyone has a nice day/night. I am off to work.:D

Hi Wilderness,

Looks like you are increasing the intensity of your workouts. Great job. How's the back feeling? Sorry to hear you are having pool probelms. I hope you can catch a little sleep before your shift. If not how about an iced coffee with sf syup from starbucks. It got me through my last shift.

Have a good one,
Beth

Sorry you are dragging today. I'm sending you some :sunny: to help you wake up! You may want to take it easy at the gym today - sounds like you body might need a bit of recovery time.

You are doing awesome, keep up the good work!

~Amanda

Thanks Amanda. I took it very easy. Actually I didn't even go until this afternoon. I think I have a touch of the flu so I went back to bed this am. I went to the gym for a very short time and only did the treadmill. Now I am back off to work.

Sending :sunny: and :wizard: to you today. I hope that you feel better soon!::yes:: Take good care of you!

Hi Wilderness,

Great job working out despite the fatigue. Great job on the water. I make it through those shifts because I am  . You made it. Now go get some zzzzzzz's:faint:
Beth

Wilderness, your workouts sound amazing! I can't imagine spending 2 HOURS at the gym!! You must have been burning a serious amount of calories! ::yes::

Best of luck getting the pool straightened out. I spent many years as a lifeguard and fortunately, we drained the pool each fall and refilled it each spring - of course it was filled with spring water....brrrrrr!!! It didn't really get warm until July! :p

Hope work goes well! :sunny:
