On to healthy living......

Hello wilderness01,
Thanks for your reply to my journal. It's always nice to know someone cares. So, how did you manage to beat the yo-yo syndrome? Are you on a particular diet? I admire anyone who works out with weight machines. I tend to not do any exercise that isn't fun. That's why I like to swim. Unfortunately, I didn't leave enough time today to do more then 1/2 mile. I'm bound and determined to do it on Sunday. No excuses! By the way, good for you on another lost pound.

Hi Wilderness,

I'm glad to hear that your back is feeling a little better. How was your shift? I have to agree with your assessment on exercise. I don't feel right either if I miss.

Have a good evening.
Beth

Hey wilderness!

You passed temptation by and you should be proud of yourself for that! Your determination is great! Thanks for proving that when you put your mind to it, you can do it! Exercise is hard for me to do right now and you have no problem with it! You are doing a great job!

Hi Wilderness!

I'm stopping by to check on your progress. You are doing so well. I am so proud of you - your attitude, eating on program (wtg for not giving in to the bad stuff at the game) and your exercise routine. You are so right that you have to stay on the zone or find yourself backsliding. I make myself work out everyday and now (like you mentioned before) I work out for the mental/emotional aspect, the losing weight aspect and the toning aspect. On another site I frequent they have a quote: "Dieting makes you look good in clothes but exercising makes you look good naked"! I love that phrase!

Now, you keep taking care of you because YOU are important!!!!::yes::

Hey wilderness!

You had a busy day yesterday! With all of that, you still exercised! Way to go!!!::yes:: When you so busy at work, it's hard to eat right. You will succeed because of your determination!!!:sunny: Have a wonderful week! I won't get to post anymore before my trip. Know that I will be back in a couple of weeks!

Hi Wilderness,

How's your back? I don't know which is worse, shifts that run you off your feet or the shift that drags all night long. I hope you got some rest and have a good Wednesday.
Beth

:wave2: Hi Wilderness,
Wow, it sounds like you sure have been busy with work. I really admire your determination to keep going with you healthy lifestyle even with life getting hectic ::yes:: . You are doing a wonderful job, Wilderness :Pinkbounc :bounce:! Hope you have a great day :sunny: !

Clothes have become a major challenge for me. I have to wear a uniform and my allotment has been spent this year, and by gosh, they are falling off of me! Great problem huh?! I have had to get hole punches for my belt to keep my pants on. My pants will literally fall off if I walk without a belt and it feels great!:Pinkbounc

Thanks for checking in no me, I have been really busy, but I check in even if I don't post.

Keep it up!

The incredible shrinking one!

Dax

Wilderness:

I took advantage of a very slow night at work to drop by and read about your journey. What you've been through in just the last while has been very tough. I'm so happy that your attitude is positive and you haven't let the setbacks get you down or stop your efforts for better health.

I want to thank you for your very kind words in my journal. Your hug was just what I needed today to keep the tears away (I don't want to cry at work - the guys on the crew just don't understand.)

I suffered through almost 3 years of pnemonia in 1996-1999. Every time I thought I had it beat, it would return only worse after 2-3 months of lying dormant. It took some really strong antibiotics (Cipro) to finally kick it out of my system (for good?). I now have asthma from the damage done from the pnemonia.

Congratulations on 19 lbs gone! You should be so proud of yourself. Don't forget that the scale isn't always the best indicator of the progress you're making. I just broke through a 2-month plateau and was starting to reach maximum frustration - getting into a pair "skinny" jeans in my closet was a lifesaver.

Have a really restful weekend and thank you again for the

-Laurie
