I'm just checking on you. It sounds like you are doing very well. Congratulations on losing the 13 pounds!!!!!
You are not the only that is scale addicted. I have a hard time staying off it myself. I am confident that you will reach your goal. Keep up the great work!
Hi Wilderness,
I hope the Communion goes well but I'm sure it will be bittersweet for your friend. She will probably need your shoulder to lean on today.
Hey wilderness! I stopped by to cheer you on! 15 pounds is a noticeable difference, isn't it? I think that you are doing a great job with your exercise.
I had an in-home daycare for 13 years. There is one family that I have stayed especially close to and they still come to my family get-togethers. Well...in December, their 46 year old mother, my friend, died. She was perfectly healthy. It all started with an ear ache. She went to an urgent care and they gave her an antibiotic. After a couple of days, she started to feel tightness in her chest, so she went to a local Dr. He said that it was the antibiotic and prescribed a different one. After another week passed, she went to another urgent care and they told her it was just heartburn and prescribed something for that. Four days later she was dead! Her 17 year old daughter witnessed her death. She also has a 14 year old. These children are so special to me. They have called me Mama Carol from the time they first started coming to my house. Of course, they are now old enough to tend to themselves. Today was their first Mother's Day without their Mom. I miss their Mom, my friend. I cannot say it enough..."LIFE IS SO PRESCIOUS!!!" I can understand what your friend's sister is going through! If you are there for your friend, then this will make her stronger for her sister! She really does need you and I am sure that she is thankful for a wonderful friend like you.
Hey wilderness! I am glad that you had a good day and got in you exercise.
Actually...the infection went to my friend's heart. Obviously, the infection was not caught. I am sure the treatment would have been much different.
Do you find that as the days pass, you get more and more nervous when you weigh-in? Tomorrow morning is my weigh-in day. I have felt anxious for a couple of days.
You have done well with your weight loss. Keep that focus!!!
Keep it slow with the weights. I'm proud of you for starting off with low weights. Listen to your body, and you'll do fine. Great job with being op and portion control. Keep up the good work.
Beth
Wilderness, so glad that your back is healing and that you have been there for your friend to lean on. I've heard that the hardest part can be the feelings that hit a few weeks after, when everyone else has gone back to their lives and you are left alone with all those feelings. Don't forget to stay in touch with her.
I love reading your journal! Today I'm taking a sip of water every time I read a reference to it and I've had LOTS of water thanks to your journal! Just thought you'd like to know you've helped me today!
I almost forgot!
A BEAUTIFUL 15 POUND CLIPPIE!!
Your new clippie is looking just awesome!! Congratulations!!
I have days where I am not hungry at all. Then, other days I stay a little hungry. For the most part, I have been satisfied. You said that you only did 25 minutes at the gym. The thing is, you exeercised and stayed op! Way to go!!!
