OK SAILORS!!!

Its time to sign up for the Fish Extender exchange:cool1:

I am your happy, harried hostess for this go round. I have done it once before and now know some tricks to make it easier on myself this time:rotfl2:

Some basic info for y'all( I live in the south if you haven't noticed ;) )

Fish Extender exchanges are a fun way to interact with your fellow cruisers on this thread and the FB group. Everybody participating MUST exchange gifts with every stateroom in their group.

You may give 1 gift per stateroom or 1 gift for everybody in the room. Its up to you and your budget. Can be big or small, local trivia pieces or just something fun. Homemade is great but if you're not crafty go ahead an buy something. Any and all gifts are greatly appreciated.

In past cruises I have gotten everything from handmade jewelery to oriental trading frames, and its all in good fun:thumbsup2

No overriding theme is necessary for gifts either. Some people have based it on Meet themes, others just wing it.

Whatever you decide please do not sign up if you have no intention of giving. Hoarding is not the point, and spoils it for those who give. Fortunately, I have not had this happen on my cruises but I have read about it happening on others, and I would hate to see it happen here

A couple of helpful links:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1980639

Sign up will be via Google Form as is the Roll Call. Every pertinent question I could think of is on it.

The sign up closing date will be voted on by those participating closer to sail date.

I must beg apologies from everyone here. Especially those who have signed up for the FE exchange. My life and year have taken many turns and while I am still on the cruise and am getting excited about it, I am not the right person to run the exchange this time. I simply ask that whoever would like to run it allow my stateroom to participate. I promise we will not forget the gifts.

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list :thumbsup2

Have a great cruise!

Boy this is gonna be 1 empty cruise:lmao:

Guess I won't have any trouble with making reservations for Palo:cool1:

And a discount since we are obviously the only ones who booked. I hope you've started bribing Renee. We're gonna need playmates on this cruise. My parents don't count:lmao:

We are joining in!:cool1::cool1::cool1:
Me, hubby and our special DD who turns sweet 16 on the cruise... Its her dream come true.. the Fantasy ON her birthday!

This will be our third cruise, first time on the Fantasy, CANT WAIT!:cheer2:

:welcome::sail:

Glad to have you aboard:banana::banana:

Its been pretty quiet here so far, but there's lots of time yet.

I'll arrange the first post for a check in of everybody sailing.

HI everyone! How about some introductions! And Yes I'd love to do te FE, as long as it doesnt get TOO BIG! I have read some where it was over 100 rooms... :confused3.
:confused3
We are from upstate NY, little village in the western Catskills...

Its me, hubby and DD14 who will be turning Sweet 16 during our cruise.:cool1:

FE exchanges are always fun. I do however have a limit to the number of rooms I'll do. Though i think its unlikely we'll wind with that many staterooms. If it gets too popular we can always split groups

My life is a wild ride lately and i wanna get off. So its time for cruise fantasizing and introductions:dance3:

So as thread starter I should lead off:wizard:

Our cruising party is big and a surprise for some of the cruisers. 6 of us altogether.

Those who know:

Me: Maureen. My wild ride of jobs/ businesses includes a day job at Target, and AVON business that I am fooling around with, and a newly started Premier Designs Jewelry Home Show business. I am most excited about this 1 and with any luck by the time we cruise will just be doing that. No I am not advertising but yes i will send a catalog if requested. Just request off the DIS

DH: Richard. Civilian contractor for the Navy, sequestration may or may not affect us, nobody can decide:rolleyes1

My sister Meighan: Lives in DE and this whole harebrained scheme was her idea the night BEFORE we left for our last cruise on the Magic in 2011. Good way to have a heart attack on the drive down to FL:upsidedow

Those who DON'T know

My Parents: Terry & George. Retired and living in DE, sharing their house with my sister.

My niece: Ashley. 8 years old right now and cannot keep a secret to save her life.

We plan on surprising everybody at Christmas with the trip.

Permanent staterooms TBD

I am willing to keep a database of everybody cruising if so desired. I did it for our last cruise.

Who's next:banana:

Looks like we will be joining this cruise. We were supposed to be sailing this August, but we just moved to Colorado (from Virginia) last week, and my daughter's school starts earlier than it did in Virginia, and will be in session when we were supposed to cruise. So, we moved to this one, which will be during their Fall break! Our best friends will also be traveling with us.

This is my husband and my fifth cruise (the first was part of a honeymoon trip to Disney), my daughter's third (She will be 12 when we sail) and my son's first (He will be newly six when we sail).

We are super excited, but a little bummed that our cruise in a few months had to be moved until over a year away!

Anyway, Hi there. :flower3::flower3:

Who's next:banana:

I Guess I'll take a bite Maureen! Our life is kind of crazy too, so here is our intro!
Me: Robin, Recently took over ownership for a yarn store, and refound my love of crocheting! Have sold Avon for the last 13 years straight, and on and off since 1977, so if you need any help or ideas, feel free to ask... I take care of MIl, 7 days a week, making sure there is food, cleanliness and giving her meds 3 times a day. And getting the midnight calls that she has wandered off... er runs when she falls...

DH:Al works in a small town tire shop and is the only licensed inspecter there, pretty much 6 days a week.

DD: Jenna, who this trip is for.. She will turn Sweet 16 on the ship on October 12th , and this has been her wish since we went on the dream in February of 2012. Jenna is on the autism spectrum with Aspergers, so se has had a rough ride with people accepting her. She is an easy child :goodvibeswith a mouth that is non stop... just dont tell her any secrets... She trusts easily.

We originially booked the Wonder in february of 2014 while on our last cruise this february (yes its a yearly thing!), which is when Als shop closes for 2 weeks. Taking this cruise was a difficult decision due to the extra cost:scared1:. We have never done a 7 night, but like I said this is Jennas dream for her sweet 16 and since she doesnt have many friends, we are celebrating this way!

So that's our story, happy to meet you! NEXT::banana::banana::banana:

AWWW, Hi there, sorry about the delay, I understand! Welcome! This will be our 3rd cruise, 1st time on the Fantasy, and DD will be turning Sweet 16 on the cruise!

Always wanted to visit out west, really havent been anywhere off the east coast, except of course, DisneyLand! We live in upstate NY, but thinking of moving somewhere warmer... what made you move so far? was it hard?

Anyway... Welcome!pixiedust:

to the form for the Cruise Spreadsheet is in the first post. I learned how to make up a form so everyone can add their info and it organizes and updates itself:cool1:

This means that the hours I spent on my last cruise organizing the spreadsheet turned into 30 minutes last night. Posted the link and I am done:worship:

All i have to do now is add names to the first post. They will get there. I need meds and heat first for the latest entry on my wild ride:rolleyes2
