On the road to a healthy ME! Jog along with me!

Hey Wendy, Just thought I'd pop in with a quick hello! I hope you had a great Christmas and that you'll have a wonderful New Year. Keep us posted! Denise

Hi Wendy...Happy New Year! Hope to see you back on the WISH boards real soon.

Hi, Wendy! Hope you have a Happy, Healthy 2007!

Wow--It's been FOREVER!

Back from having a week off and catching up on seeing family. They all live so far away!

Had a wonderful holiday! Didn't give away any pounds, but didn't gain any either!

We had a quiet Holiday. I really enjoyed it. Did visit the parents for a few days, helped DH finish cleaning and reorgainizing the common rooms in the basement. Did find out that my older sister does not have cancer, so we are all feeling better about that!

Great resolution this year--to have a great time. College financing may be a challenge, but it looks like it will all work. I sure wish DS was staying home for a year or so, but I don't think that will happen.

The kids had a nice Christmas. Very mellow, yet everyone was happy. The kids did get an elelctic keyboard from Mom in law. Full keyboard. DS is very happy, as he will take it to college with him. I did worry that he would not have a piano to play every day. Now that is resolved.

Need to catch up with everyone!

Wendy

All things are coming along. Diet has been good, and house is going thru a 'spring cleaning'. My sister's test results are back. She does not have cancer. Now they just need to figure out what to do to get her back to health with all her gyn problems. I am wishing her the best and the fastest recovery. Dreamed about her last night. She had let my brother take my car to Florida. :rotfl: I must have been wishing to go to WDW!

Till next time

Wendy

I am off to the ENT today. Hope he can find something in all the tests I have taken and straighten some things out. I would love to get rid of the this ear thing. And sinus thing. Boy--I feel pretty whinny today. I feel pretty yucky today. It snowed last night. First snow since November. And this is Michigan! It only snowed about 8 flakes. And, even tho I haven't gained during December, I haven't lost either. Exercise is the key, and I am not using it as I should. I think I need motivation. I did get a great compliment the other day! Just remembering it makes me smile. There, my day is much better now!

DH and I are working on a great budget since DS is going to start college this fall. And I have eliminated my first bill. YEAH! Now, DH says he will swim in Lake Michigan each time I do this. So--looks like a cold swim for him! I love a challenge with a humorous ending! :goodvibes He probably thinks I let him do another challenge, like car washing or something. Hmmm...that could be for the next one!

Well, feeling a bit under the weather and I need to get together so that I am not late for the DR's.

Great losses to all!

Hope everything went well for you at the Dr. and that you're beginning to feel a little better. Off to work soon...I'll be back on the boards later. Have a great day! Denise

Hello all! Thanks Denise, all went well, but he didnt' find what is causing the chronic ear issues. Guess it's on to see what else he can look at. He thinks it's allergies causing inflamation. So we are going to antihistamines and see how that goes. At least it wasn't something strange or that needed some type of surgery.

Still a bit under the weather. DH is here this morning for a while so I can enjoy some pampering before I am off to work. He is such a good man.

DS is a bit under the weather as well. Wonder if we are passing stuff around. That's the way it usually is in a home.

Well, gonna catch up before going off to work!

Ciao all!

Wendy

It has been a good week. Well, if you don't count the ER visit and DR visit for DS's pulled ribs! Of course they just first treated him for asthma, so it took 48 hours to get all the excess albuterol out of his system, which didn't need it any how! He is doing great now.

Doing my treadmill again. DS has a portable DVD player that I have on the front, so it is much easier to walk while watching a concert or an episode of House.

Well, I did convince DS to go with me and share a piece of Double Chocolate Cheesecake from the Cheese cake factory. I have been craving since before Thanksgiving. SO, with that terrible truth behind me, I am good for a long time now! :rotfl:

Time to get the move on. Children are home for Martin Luther King day. Guess I will have to make a real lunch! :goodvibes

Great losses to all!

Wendy

Boy, not much going on in a few days. The kids piano recital is next Saturday. It will be DS's last one. I am sure both will do just fine! They ususally do.

Snow is still here. Kids have gone sledding a few times. Dog isn't too wild about any of it. Looks like the TM again tonight.

Watched a bit of Idol with DD last night. Boy, I am not a big fan, and I really don't think I ever will be. Just crazy.

No huge losses this last week. Maybe next week! Had a crazy schedule these last few weeks. Hopefully the next 4 weeks will be better.

Off and running, and all that jazz!

Wendy

The snow is still here. Work is quiet, and so is all else.

Nothing of real issue to even mention!

Well, off to catch up!

Wendy

Hi Wendy, Hope all is well with you and your family. You're miseed on the Wish journals. I've haven't posted much either lately, but plan to get back into the swing of things. It would be nice to hear from you again! Take care, Denise

Wow--hard to believe that life has been so busy that it's been nearly a month where I feel I finally have time to just hang out on the computer!

All is ok. DS had some problems with his lower colon with thrombosed hemoroids that required emergency surgery, my parents are finally down in FLA (snow birds), work is still kind of crazy with recent losses of upper management, and the weather has been awful. Kids missed 2 days because it was too cold for them to wait for a bus. Even the cinemas and malls closed due to weather.

Now, because I haven't committed the time to me, I have gained 3 pounds. YUK! So, I am going to get back into the swing of things, and remember without my health, I am not of much use to those who really need me!

Glad to be back!

Wendy

Today was a long day at work. Time seemed to drag. Now I am home and ready to relax!

Things are ok. Working on getting healthy again. Focusing more again. Although I did share some fries with DH at lunch. Seems less of an issue if I share them. Tomorrow I am home all day, and it is much easier to not indulge at home. Of course it helps that there isn't anything to indulge in! :rotfl: I have one diet pop in the frig and I will have to nurse it all day. Time to hit the store, as water is gone as well as my favorite green tea drink. I think I am going to try to bake some gluten free bread so that I can have toast and feel like I am eating junk food. I went to the store next to work for someone at work, and looked longingly at the little debbie selections. It's still ok to look, right? :rotfl2:

I am listening to Mouse House radio and they are just starting Illuminations's sound track. Yeah! It always makes me feel wonderful, as it brings back so many great memories.

Off to catch up on all else!

Wendy

Hi Wendy, So glad that you're back on the boards! I'm sorry to hear about your son's medical problem and hope all is going well for him. I know what you mean about taking care of yourself, so that you can be there for your family and friends. Its so hard for women to put themself first, we really do need to make ourselves a priority.

I've never heard of Mouse House radio, I'm going to have to search for it. I'm really melancholy after our Jan. trip. It was so awesome that I just want to continue thinking about it. I actually made a travel journal for the trip.

I'll look for more of your posts in the near future. Hang in there and be healthy!

Hello!

Boy, the weather is pretty yuky here in West Michigan. Snow, Freezing rain, and thunderstorms. What next>

Had to take DS to dr again yesterday. We have to go to the allergist again. We haven't gone since he was 12 or so. We have to be re-tested for what he is allergic to, and start on immunotherapy (shots) again. The stress will be worth it. It made such a difference the last time. We go on the 15th, 3 days after his 18th birthday. I keep trying to get to the point where we can go to a regular dr, rather than his peditrician, but we just can't get there. Oh well.

Time to work on dinner!

Better weather to all!

Wendy

Yesterday I wondered what was next for the weather issue. Well, it was blizzard condictions. What else? Guess the only thing left is sunny and 70!

Not much going on. Just hanging out at home since I am not too cool about driving in this type of weather.

Dinner is calling, but it is calling to be made, not eaten!

Maybe I can sneak on again before the end of the night.

Have a good weekend all.

Wendy

Hi Wendy, Thanks for the link to Mouse House Radio. Since I'm techno impaired, DH helped me and we got it going. What a fun site! I do miss WDW.

I can't imagine how it must feel to have dropped 4 sizes. That is really awesome! I'm only down 2 on a good day, with much more to go.

I'm so tired of winter here in NJ, and it really hasn't been all that bad, but I just can't stand the grayness. I'm sure Michigan gets tons of snow and your winter is a little bit longer than ours. Come on Spring!!!

Have a great weekend!!! Denise

Hello all. Thought I might join the journal challenge. I am not as routine-ish and I am not online everyday. Maybe a challenge will help!

Things are ok. Meals are good, its the non-meals that seem to be plaging me this week. Guess it is just time to kick butt!

Wendy
