We're staying at RPR so we will have Express Pass, but we are going around NYE.

Should we take two of our three days and get there early as to split the HP stuff? Is it pointless to even try?

That's the busiest time of the year and even Express lines can reach 20 minutes due to crowds. Since you're going to be onsite unlimited Express will help but it will still be wall to wall people...especially at HP. You should allow at least two full days to do everything.

Thanks for your reply! :)

We bought the Costco 3 day pass. BTW.. was that a deal or no? lol

I'm not familiar with all the ticket specials out there since I have an annual pass but I think those tickets are about as good a deal as you can get right now.

I had considered switching my Disney dates w/ my US dates. The entire trip is from 12/29 - 1/6, with Disney being at the front end. I think I will leave it alone, though, b/c I've done Disney a lot and I think US will more enjoyable at the end of the week when the crowds start to disperse. We haven't been in 10 years and my DD9 has never been. This way, we may actually get to enjoy HP some as well.

I wonder if I should lose a night at Disney, too and add another to my RPR dates.

That may not be a bad idea to put Universal at the end of the trip. Crowds will still be heavy but nothing like before New Years.

They'll be heavy at Disney, too, and now that I just priced hotel changes.. It's still comes out better to put Universal at the end.

I think what we'll do is deal w/ Disney crowds (b/c if we miss something, we've probably already done it several times in the past.) Then enjoy a lighter Universal, something we haven't done as a family. And I learned over the weekend, at our State Fair, that my DD9 is a thrill seeker. She only didn't want to do spin rides. :crazy2: Good, b/c I didn't want to join her.

Indeed, this. Sometimes express lines can be over 30 mins! Keep in mind that the regular line would probably be 90-120 mins when this happens...

And OP, you'll definitely want to take advantage of the early entry.
