Hello all! I am on the Magic right now and having a blast. I've read a lot of positive and some negative comments about changes they've made on this cruise and although some of the negatives may be true, we're still having a blast. So for those of you who are still waiting to go on your cruise, don't let the negative comments ruin the anticipation. :yay:

That's so good to hear. I know us repeat cruisers have our favorite things and we can get cranky if we've heard about changes that affect those things.

...which leads to the newbies worrying and having second thoughts about the cruise they've just booked.

And speaking of changes....have they started the new menues on the Magic yet????

.

Are you on the Eastern or Western?

Can you update us on any excursions you may take?

We just got home yesterday from being on the Magic! It was our first Dis Cruise & we were blown away. We've done the parks too many times to count, but the cruise is on a whole different level!! We LOVED everyone & everything!! :cool1:

You are going to have a wonderful time!!

Tell Tito in the Duty Free & Dean in Diversions that Joel & Mia say hello! :cool1:

Enjoy Soul Drive in Rockin Bar D - they are a blast!!!:hippie:

Stop Brent (the cruise director) when you see him walking around. He's a great guy & a lot of fun to chat with.:goodvibes

If you are lucky enough to get Raphael & Gabriella or Dean & Alenka as your servers, tell them the 26 from Louisiana miss them terribly. Dinner tastes so much better when they are there!!:worship:

Of course, you probably won't get him, but say hello to Gilbert in the hallways if you see him!!

Have fun - I'm soooo jealous & depressed!! It was the best vacation my family ever had & I know you'll have a blast too. :yay:

As you can see from the post above, my family just returned from the Magic, so I thought I'd help you with excursions.

In Key West we got the Old Towne Trolley tickets. It was ok, but just a tip. I little of the trolley is ok, but it gets old pretty quick. If you want to see the whole tour, stay on for one rotation, then go back around & get off at the stops that interest you the most. We had the most fun just walking around visiting the eclectic shops & bar/restaurants.

In Grand Caymen we took the stingray tour through Nativeway Watersports. It was great! We had 2 tour guides on our boat that took us to the stingrays & helped us hold them, pet them, kiss them (it's supposed to be good luck). Then they took us to the Coral Gardens where we snorkeled. We ended with a starfish dive. It was a lot of fun.

In Cozumel we took the Tucan Adventure through Cozumel Sailing. It was INCREDIBLE!! We started the day w/ 3 guides on a giant trimaran sailing around for about 1 1/2 hours. It was beautiful. The guides made fresh guac & pico for us to snack on while we sailed & there was plenty of drinks - soft drinks for the kids & beer & mixed drinks for the adults. Then we snorkeled while they cooked lunch for us. Lunch was homemade buffalo wings & fajitas - they were wonderful. Then they brought us to an island called Passion Island in a little motor boat that was pulled behind the trimaran. This was the least favorite part. We were having so much fun on the boat that we really didn't need to leave it. We finished w/ a great experience called Spinnakering. We each sat in this sling type seat attached to a giant sail which lifted us in the air. It was kind of like parasailing. Really cool. Expensive, but well worth it. Juan, Gorge, & Hieme were all wonderful & we had a blast!!

By the time we got to Castaway Cay we were exhausted & just vegged on the beach!!

No, they still have the old menus as far as I can tell. I'm on the Eastern and having a blast so far. Actually looking into booking an 11 day Mediterranian (spelling?) for 2010 but they don't have any more category 4's for the date I wanted.
