My flights not until 2:00, I was wondering how long my family can stay on the ship?

Until they drag you off kicking and screaming or about 8:30 am I would assume! They get you off and running pretty quickly. We were one of the last one's off the ship last time (mil had a bathroom issue) and it seemed it was about 8:30 when we walked out the door with luggage in hand.

Not long..you get to have breakfast..you have to take your carry off luggage with you to breakfast..when you finish with breakfast, you leave the ship. Breakfast is very early on that day!

It is not hard to stroll off closer to 9 am (there was still luggage in the racks when we got there)

I went off kicking and screaming at 8:55am after saying our final good-bye to our serving team. There were still some people coming off after us, but I think everyone is supposed to be off by 9am.

We had late seating, so our breakfast was at 8 am the final day.
Early breakfast is at 6:45 am.
So we got IN LINE at 8:30, and it took us until 9:15 to finally get off the ship. Our cruise may have been different, it was the packed 12-27-03 New Year's Eve cruise. Rachel the cruise director made a big deal about how easy it would be....she was half right. From the minute we got off the ship, it was a piece of cake. We just couldn't get off the ship. They make a big deal that, unlike other lines, you don't have to go to a public room and wait to have your number called. At least on this cruise, that system would have made life a lot easier.
I think the goal is to have everyone off by 9 am, but I heard later at the airport that the last folks didn't get off until 10 am.

I do have to say that if it took you that long to get off the DCL line with no numbers or colors called I can guarantee you it would have taken twice as long on other lines! We once went on a Carnival cruise and they use the color system assigned by stateroom and we were in the theatre (nice and cool thankfully) and they didnt call us to get off the ship until 12:45...think about how awful for those to be called after us and they were only about 1/2 way through when we walked off!!! The color calling thing is a good idea in theory but not when you have to call 2200 people off by color! ;)

Sorry to hear it took that long to get off but for us that would be a plus in 5 weeks as our flight isnt scheduled to depart until 5pm
