From the title of the post, it appears you are looking to rent...so you need the rent/trade board.....

Now if your question is how hard is it to get these ressies if you were to become a DVC owner....if you own at your "preferred resort" and plan your vacations in advance, you pretty much can get what you want (some exceptions would be major holidays....but you still stand a great chance if you plan far enough ahead). You can book at 11 months at your home resort....no one else can until 7 months....so you have a head start.

Well if you are talking about buying then you need to really buy where you plan on staying.You wll have no problems booking your home resort at the 11 month window.

The OP's original post prior to the edit was that they were looking for points to rent in May hence the response I gave....sorry for the confusion
