What are your favorite things to do on the Boardwalk in the evenings. I'm planning in one evening to do the Boardwalk, and end with a dinner at the Flying Fish. What shouldn't we miss while on the Boardwalk.

There will be a chance to see street performers there -- like we saw a man juggling while riding a unicycle, a man walking around on stilts, and a guy who sets up a little fake stand and tries to sell "snake oil" and involves the kids who are watching -- very cute.
You should rent a surrey bike (one of them will hold 4-6 people I think) and ride around Crescent Lake, past the back gate to Epcot and around past the Yacht Club/Beach Club resort, the Dolphin and Swan. A very pleasant ride.

I wouldn't miss ESPN Club to eat at -- (my son and husband sometimes want to stop there to eat even when we are simply driving by Disney to visit our daughter at UCF!) There is always a chance you might see an actual sports star --they produce a little interview show right out of the restaurant and sometimes have guests who are quite recognizable.

We love the Boardwalk area! ::MinnieMo Have fun!

Some favorite things to do:

Get an ice cream from the Seashore Sweets shop, sit at an outside table and people watch.

Listen to the piano player and/or the sax players. They are great. Every once in awhile there will be a Dixie Land Jazz group. Well worth listening to.

Get a crepe on a stick and nibble and stroll.

Watch people "play" with the distorting mirrors. It is absolutely hysterical what some people will do when seeing the distortion of their reflection in these mirrors.

Have a photo "drawn" in the photo booth.

Have face painting or hair wrapping done.

Get a coffee and a sweet (cookie, muffin, etc.) from Joe's Coffee shack and enjoy.

Walk the entire circle. It doesn't take long at all and is easier than pedaling one of those wicked heavy surrey bikes up hill!

Have fun in the arcade attached to ESPN.

Listen to the dj who is sometimes outside of Atlantic Dance.

Participate in the special events that sometimes occur on the boardwalk, like the Discovery Magazine Family Days.

Visit the Boardwalk Bakery for a late dessert, a breakfast sandwich or a light lunch. Sit at their outside tables and enjoy.

Feed the fish.

Avoid the horrid and aggressive seagulls. :(

Just beware that some of the activities on the boardwalk are a little hit or miss. The first time we went, we were a little disappointed at how small the boardwalk is - I guess small isn't the right word, but it just didn't have as much as we expected it to have (expected more shops and more aracade activities).

What we really enjoy is walking around and going into all the different resorts just to see what the lobbies are like and get a feel for the resort (including Swan and Dolphin). We also like to stop for a cocktail at the really cute lounge in BWI, YC, BC or in the lobby bar at the Swan--they are all unique lounges with alot of character. The bikes are always fun and the people watching is fun as well. We like to watch Illuminations from the bridge between the boardwalk and EPCOT.

Have a great time!

The boardwalk is great! We were just there last week. We stayed at the Yacht Club and travelled across the lake almost every day.
We didn't much care for the food at the ESPN club.. but the atmosphere was fun. We had an awesome dinner at Spoodles. I highly recommend it. My DH had the flatbread... great. and I had the pasta with italian sausage... to die for. Please consider Spoodles for dinner! You won't regret it!
