Hello, quick question that I can not find the definitive answer to anywhere. My mother in law is joining us on or WDW trip. She has decided to stay off property (Amerisuits) and will meet us at the parks each day. We plan on hopping between parks using on-site transportation (buses. etc..) Will mother in law be able to join us on the buses eventhough she is not staying on property? My thought is no but can not find the answer anywhere?

Thanks...... Only 47 days to go!!!!!!!! :cool1:

Technically, I believe the answer is no, as Disney resort guests (i believe) are the only ones allowed to ride busses. But, very rarely is this rule ever enforced. If she hangs with you, I would say you should be fine...

Officially, as long as she has a park hopper ticket, she can use the WDW transportation. I believe it even says so on the back of the ticket.

That's not true and has never been true.

Anyone with any kind of park-hopping admission is entitled to use the WDW transportation system. How could Disney sell a ticket that lets you go to multiple parks in one day but then prohibit you from using the busses or monorail to get from one park to another? They couldn't, and they never have.

OPs MIL will absolutely, totally, and in all other ways be able to use the WDW transportation system as long as she has a park pass.

Enjoy the monorail and boats, visit the resorts, go anywhere you want.

There are some restrictions for crowd control and security, for example day guests may not be allowed to board buses headed to a resort for extra magic hours in the morning (day guests may take a later bus), or sometimes the resort monorail may be restricted to guests of those resorts at park closing.

Day guests may not use resort pools although one person visiting a family staying at a resort might not be noticed.
