On site or Off???

Helloooo Everyone...

We are planning to visit Universal the last week of August. A few questions....

1. How are the parks at that time still super visit???

2. Is it worth staying on property? The Royal Pacific is $500. more then say Hampton Inn. That also includes tickets and fast pass for the Hampton inn.

3. Staying at Royal is there any stores/restaurants walking distance??

4. Also how is Gatorworld and wonderworks??? worth going or not? I hear there is a zipline in Gatorworld? anyone try it?

5. Seaworld...are the lines very long there??


We also plan on using the hotel pool and not running around park to park each day.

We will not visit Disney parks.

Its still somewhat crowded but not nearly as bad as early in August.

It is definetly worth staying on site. The front of the line access is worth every penny, especially in the summer heat.

City Walk is within walking distance and has lots of great food places, the 3 hotels are all within walking distance of each other and they each have good eating places.

Never been to gatorland or wonderworks.

SeaWorld is crowded, the last week of August less crowded than the beginning but still crowded. There are only 3 really good rides at SeaWorld so the lines get long but if you hit them early its not too bad. the rest are the shows and the venues are sooo big there really aren't big lines.

When we were there in August 09 it was last 2 weeks. The second week in particular was very quiet, except for weekends. No real queues to speak of, but we still used our hotel Express Pass even if it was just a 10 minute wait

Definately worth staying onsite, hotels are beautiful and well worth it.

Never been to GW,Wonderworks or SW so can`t comment on them.

Citywalk is within walking distance of plenty of fantastic restuarants. But if you want a Walgreens or other restaurants, I would take the boat to Portofino Bay and you can cross over from there for more choice of eateries as well.

We only stay at RP, but the pool is lovely and a nice way to spend a few hours relaxing. And you can pool hop to the others if you can be bothered.

there are some nice, fun shops on the first floor when walking on the sidewalk around the hotel on the way to the walking path and water taxi.
much more there than the other two hotels.

it is a very short walk to city walk from rph.
stores, outdoor entertainment, food places, etc.



wonderworks was fun.
