Hi! Just returned from two glorious weeks in the world. We had extended family, and I had purchased about 100 propins for the kids to trade, and took the Sedesma pins my daughter traded for when we were there last year. She had about 20 of them, because she traded for any pin with Pooh, Bambi, or Lion King stuff. (I swear we had 3 of those stupid hyenas!)
When the adults made a trade (for one of the younger kids) with any of these pins, the person taking them would look at the back, and say "We aren't supposed to trade these...I got in trouble last week for taking one" but, eventually trade. They didn't give the other kids much flak, but on 5 or 6 occasions, the person taking the pin would start a loud conversation about how much they hate the propins, etc. But, they had no issue trading away these same pins to other kids in our group. Between all 8 kids, we still came back with about 20 Sedesmas! And a handful of different propins.
The lanyards were filled with Sedesma, propins, Stitch square pins, and of course, the infamous 2000 pins. Would you believe one of the nephews actually traded a lanyard pin for a 2000 pin?! My heart about stopped, as did the CM's! But he wanted it!
Anyway, just wanted to put out a warning for those planning trips. I wish I had just spent a bit more, and bought a "lot" of regular pins, so the kids, and we adults (!) wouldn't have felt that pin trading was so stressful. I wanted them to enjoy it. It was the only bummer in an awesome trip.
