When I go to theme parks, I bring a water bottle in a shoulder sling with me. I carry this everywhere. At DL and WDW, this has never been a problem. I can carry it on every ride I go on. (At other parks, they have spots next to the loading area to put your drinks.)
Will the water bottle sling cause problems on the faster/looping rides? Or do they have a side storage area?

Thanks.

RC Racer and the Toy Soldier Drop in the Studios are two rides where they have storage upon boarding. When you get on the ride you hand over your bag or put it away yourself.

I carried my Kavu crossbody with an attached water bottle on all the rides at DLP except the two mentioned. No problems at all on space mountain, avengers rides etc- thanks to centrifugal force they stay out!

I wonder why those two rides are singled out? Maybe because they're not continuous motion?

My guess: The rides are outside and with the speed and/or wind people in the area can get hit if baggage fall out.

Parachute Drop has ride cars where your legs dangle and nowhere to put bags. For RC Racer, little foot space and no sides to the floor, so things will fall out.

Over at Parc Asterix near Charles de Gaulles airport, the only ride until 2023 to have a no carry on bag rule was OzIris, the Inverted roller coaster. Even on Tonnerre 2 Zeus, a fast and violent wooden roller coaster, you put all your bags at your feet!

Parachute Drop, as you can see, no space whatsoever to carry a bag,

RC Racer small roller coaster seat. Very tight and and the seatbelt has to be buckled in to ride. Its four per row and you have no space at your feet for a bag.

I have this convertible purse/Fanny pack from 2012! Bought at the parks.

It’s great! The fanny pack, adjustable straps, actually can be zipped away in back, and the adjustable purse strap can unclip & store in a pocket.
3 zipper compartments, one w/ a zip inner pocket.
it’s about 8” by 5”, and I’ve carried so much stuff in there!
(water bottle, thin shrug, “run sleeves (they turn a short sleeve into a long sleeve), disposable raincoat (that gets reused over and over again), and still have room for a few more odds & ends!

Some rides are okay with you keeping on fanny pack on, but not an over the shoulder purse!

And, sometimes I’ve used both belt & purse strap at the same time when it’s been particularly full & prone to sagging!
