I was looking at the listings on the DVC resale site and noticed that most listing are around $85 per point, regardless if they have '09 point available or not. Does this sound right, I would think you would expect to pay less if there were less points available - is that a correct assumption?

Also, I read on a post that you can do a 25 point add on at BLT, if you paid cash - I thought the minimum add on was 100 points - has that changed?

Thanks for your help.

Which resort are you looking at for resale? Different contracts will be listed at different prices depending much on the motivation for the sale. Sometimes you'll see discounts for stripped contracts but not always.

And yes, BLT add-ons are back to a 25 pt minimum. The 100 point minimum only lasted about a month in Jan-Feb.

I really depends on what the seller has decided he/she wants for the contract. I agree, though, that a contract that is "stripped" of its current year points is not as good of a deal as one that is "loaded", includes banked points.

As a buyer, this is definitely something that should be considered. But sometimes, those stripped contracts have delayed closings, or no MF"s until the following year. There are people who don't want or need points right away, only buy early to make their reservations so having those extra points is not as important.

The minimum add on for BLT went back to 25 after only a month at 100. Right now, there are even incentives ($8.00 off per point) on the 50 - 99 level.
