We're planning on (already have airline tix bought) arriving in Orlando 1130PM Wed May 19 checking into BWV, checking out EARLY MORNING Sat May 22....heading out for our 7 day Disney Cruise. My question is.....would it possible to purchase UPH when we check in, dropping the first and last day, which means we'd just end up with 1 night/2 day UPH?

My DH is doing the Florida Half Ironman at WDW on May 23. Disney is one of the race sponsors. Anthony Travel is also a sponsor. They are offering a 2 day value ticket for $89 that is good for one week before and up to one week after the race. They are also offering a 3 day park hopper that is good during the same time period for $119.

I tried posting a thread about this on the DVC board the other day because I thought it would help someone for Member Homecoming.

I have no idea if this will benefit you but I thought it might help someone.

Obviously, if you can get one of those passes mentioned above it would be your best deal. As to your original question, the hotel will allow you to buy that shortened version of the UPH as long as you purchase at the hotel at check-in (and not in advance of going).

I am continually amazed by the special prices Disney offers for other groups that are much more attractive that DVC member pricing.

Anyway, if you are not looking to use the waterparks advance purchases from the Disney store are cheaper than the DVC or AAA discounts.

For my money, I am going to try to buy from the ironman discount -- three 5-day adult passes for $500, can't beat that. (My trip happens to fall within the one-week window).

Don't forget-the Ironman tickets can only be used for one week prior and up to one week after the race.

I think we are going to get a few tickets from them, also.

I believe the deadline to order is sometime in April.
