on or off site

Which is better, on or off site? I am sure there are pros and cons to both, but which is really better? I know the onsite is more expensive, but if we stay off site, we would have to mess with traffic, renting a car, parking, etc...
If we stay onsite... are the deluxe club rooms, with the free beverages and breakfast, etc... worth it? I would like to bring snacky stuff for the room, but we are flying and I don't see how to bring perishable items like milk or juice for 4 or 5 days.
Anyone been through this dilemma and how did it work for you? I would be bringing Grandma, husband and two kids 6 and 12 years old.
Thanks,
Teresa :)

I went through this.

For $100/night less that our HRH deluxe room we could have got a deluxe room at Ritz-Carlton Grande Lakes (!)

I figured that my children would prefer the style and atmosphere of HRH and of course, the FOTL access is invaluable, along with the amazing location and pool.

Callme crazy but that's what we chose! :cool1:
