Our online check in date is in a few days!
😃
I’ve read that a lot of people when trying to sign in at midnight are met with the site crashing or just spinning. I get the system being overloaded with all the user’s trying to get on at the same time. I’m wondering if the app is better than the website on a computer? Is one better/ faster than the other?
TIA

I have been having my iPad with the app and my laptop with the website open in front of me at midnight and using whichever lets me in first. I think the app technically sends you to the website anyhow. Make sure that the photos you intend to upload are easily accessible on any device you might be using to check in.

Even if you start in the app, it's going to open a browser window to complete the actual check in process. I've been lucky in that for our last several cruises, I've been able to check in at midnight eastern with zero issues.

I recommend being as far west of the Eastern time zone as possible. I choose Korea. Online checkin was at 2:00 p.m. for our upcoming cruise. I still had to deal with the heavy internet traffic, but at least I was awake and ready to deal with the frustrations. PC works best for me, but I have all the files I need to upload ready on the computer, my tablet, and phone. Surely, one will work.
