What information can be modified later? If there is a problem I want to have a placeholder ready and then edit it later. For example, change a photo, change a credit card.

The system checked my photo automatically to see if it was clear enough (and might check for white backgrounds, etc.) With that error message I could upload a different picture, but once it accepted the replacement I couldn't make any changes to the photo until DCL reviewed it a few days before my cruise. So, no, I don't believe you can do a placeholder for the photo.

Make sure you have all the passport #s & expiration dates written down to make it go quickly instead of having to flip through passports or their photos for the information.

I have paid for disney transportation from the airport to the ship but I fly in a day early and am staying at a hotel in the airport. Online check-in didn't ask me how I was getting to the port but it did ask me for a port arrival time. Do I worry? Call? Or just wake up and make my way to the bus an hour before our selected port arrival time?

And make sure that the picture you submit is NOT the same as the passport picture. My dad had used the same because I guess he did online passport renewal or something since he had the picture used on his phone. How they didn't flag it when he and my mom and sister cruised earlier this year I don't know - unless my sister took one on her phone and did all their check-in. But we had to resubmit another picture for him since they cannot be the same. Not a huge deal, but my dad especially is not tech savvy so he gets very frustrated.

I don't remember ever having an ability to do a 'partial' room check-in. Everyone in the room checks in at the same time. If you have multiple reservations then each room checks in separately. (Which is why there are always 2-3 posts active at any given time with some variation of, "When can we show up if our group has 2 different Port Arrival Times?")

You can change the credit card at a later date. (I just did it 5 minutes ago; my wife was out of town with the Disney Visa when I checked in so I just plugged an AMEX in to do the check-in and then switched to the Disney Visa for the (limited) discounts onboard.)

I would also add that all of the uploads of passport and picture must be in jpeg, not pdf. Also, all legs of all flights were required to be added, so be sure to have your flight info handy. And, you will need to add a credit card. Just so you have all these documents handy.

Quick question. Do all Castaway categories get the same Check-in window (30 days prior)?
I would Imagine if so, that is why the system becomes unbearably slow at midnight the night of.

Yes, everyone checks in at 30 days so yes, everyone (sometimes from more than one cruise) is online at midnight at 30 days
