on-line booking at 7 month window

I have a reservation booked at my home resort for the week of Thanksgiving but I am really wanting to get wilderness lodge for my kids. I know this will be difficult but I'm hoping for some pixie dust! My question is can I do this on-line?? I don't want to cancel my existing reservation without having new one booked bc it is such a busy time of year. I am a new owner and so easily get confused on points. I have 190 in 2012 use year left and will have 310 in 2013 use year. So can I book on-line borrowing from 2013 use year and then cancel existing reservation and if so will I lose any points since those that are currently booked were in the 2011 use year??? I know this is confusing!

For this, I would phone DVC Member Services. YOu don't want to be left without. I have similar booking and want to switch as well.

I might have to call, I just hate to miss out on 1 hr by having to call
