On hold with Disney Dining....

Geez, what is up with this....I've been on hold for about 1/2 an hour.

Has anyone else had trouble getting through to WDW-DINE?

I made ps at WDW when we were on our trip and I was on hold 15-20 minutes. But atleast I got what I wanted. We made ps same day at 11am for a 1:50 ps at CP and next day ps for RFC--but since we had 6 of us I had to take 10:45 am or 2:15. We took the 10:45 and the place was already crowded.

Yep, although it was slim pickings. We're going to do the CP dinner package, to celebrate my parents' 49th wedding anniversary. There are 12 of us.

Struck out at Le Cellier, Rose & Crown, Chefs De France, and the Coral Reef. We're in for Teppenyaki, though!!! Which will actually be a big hit with most everyone, except my mom and dad. Oh well, it wasthe only thing available for a party that large, and we had no flexibility with the date.

I'm wondering if more and more people are doing Priority Seatings. We were at EPCOT on Sunday, with my sister and her family to celebrate my sister's birthday. I called on Thursday, to get a P.S. for Sunday night. Nothing at all available at any time Sunday evening, at my first 4 choices. Finally got availability at Le Cellier. It was packed, and we had to wait about 45 minutes to be seated.

Geez, a Sunday night and It's not even high season!

I'm doomed. I haven't made one PS--just booked last week--and past 90 days for 12/29-1/1. DH said to go "anywhere' for NYE, fat chance, lucky to get counter service!
And no one on theme parks board had any advice about what to see or do(I've been early December and summer but never this week), so I guess I'm on my own in regards to which park which day and what to avoid!

I believe I posted something on the Dining board, but I just got my phone bill (although I am flat rate, they tell you how long each call is)...I made 2 calls to WDW DINE and both were over 20 minutes. I was on hold way too long (and I'm not fond of the "teen pop-ized" versions of Disney classics.

And that above is the very reason why I book my trip through Dreams Unlimited Travel! I have no patience to be on hold that long and if I don't get what I want, then that would just do it for me. Dreams was wonderful with every PS I wanted on my last trip and I'll be using them again in 2006!

Here, here! That is also why I use Dreams! And this time I had some problems/questions with Disney, and my agent, Kelsie (the best!) Made the PS's for me and solved the problems without even stressing me at all - she just took care of it. period.

That's a great suggestion, tiggerlover, although not one that I personally can take advantage of. We're semi-local, and not even spending the night after the meal.

Disney Club has 800# for a few more months. Wow, the place really sounds like it is jumping. Another thought, if you can't get one before you go, is to just call from your cell phone while in the parks or see if guest services can help you at resort or park.

Dan, I think it iISjumping. Although EPCOT didn't seem all that crowded to me, on Sunday. I did pop in to Teppenyaki when we first got there, to see if they had anything, because that was our first choice the other night. I was discussing this with sister and BIL while standing in line, and a lady behind us said they had tried every sit down restaurant for that evening, and there was nothing.
