This will be our first trip to the cabins and my ds is not a strong swimmer (will be 5 yrs old) does the pools provide swim vests to use or should I pack one? Thank you!

I would pack one.
They used to give them out a long time ago.
Have a great time.

I don't think the pools have vests. But if you do any of the water parks at Disney they WILL have all sizes of vests available for free. So you don't need to take it to the water parks.

They did have vest at the pools but I did not even go to the pool on the last trip. I am sure if you go to the bike barn where they rent canoes they will have a vest you can to use.

The life vests aren't at the pools any longer, they are at the bike barn. What I've heard is that you can get one to keep for the length of your stay. We just take our own and this last trip she (4 years old) only used the water wings.

Thank you for your quick replys!! :)

Pool toys are fine. You will not be allowed to use hard balls but spongy balls are fine. They won't let you use snorkel things but goggles are fine. Noodles are fine, too.

When we were there this spring, they allowed pool toys during "non-busy" times. When the pool gets crowded, the life guards may ask that they not be used because it makes it difficult to spot anyone in trouble.

We only used the meadows pool and did not see any life vests around. My littlest wore his arm floats. toys are fine in the pool, beach balls, noodles, rubber balls, no problems.
