On Fantasy soon ? Request: Rainforest Room questions to task

Would you be willing to visit Senses and ask a couple questions and report the answer back here ?

Background: (all prices below do not include taxes or automatic gratuities, for simplicity sake)

A day pass (purchased in advance) to the Rainforest Room costs $16. So 7*16 = 112. Day passes do not include scrubs.

According to the Personal Navigators, a "length of cruise pass" on the Fantasy costs $144 for a single person, $193 for a couple. Clearly more than the cost of 7 day passes.

So, the questions I would like answers to, from Senses on an actual cruise:

(1) Does the $144/$193 length of cruise pass for Rainforest Room include scrubs ?

If yes,

(2) Do they sell a length of cruise pass that does NOT include scrubs ? If yes, what is the price for a single person and for a couple ? (price before taxes and gratuity and price including taxes and gratuity)

The reason I am asking: I cannot use the scrubs (allergic) and therefore would prefer not paying for something I cannot use. For the Fantasy it is cheaper to buy 7 day passes instead of a length of cruise pass, unless they offer an "unadvertised" length of cruise pass that does NOT include the scrubs.

When we were on the Dream in December, they advertised both: a length of cruise pass that included scrubs and one that did not include scrubs. We got the one without, which was cheaper than the same number of days of single day passes purchased in advance.

We love the RR and use it each day of the cruise -- sometimes just for the heated chairs

When we did length of stay, we paid the price and two days into it found out we were entitled to scrubs. We were told that there was a price withOUT them. I hated them. It destroyed my enjoyment of the hot rooms, because it closed off my pores and made me so so SO much hotter.

By the way, the price for our 4 night cruise was about the same as the price you're seeing. Sad, eh? Mistake on our part.

And then it was almost a chore to use the room every day to try to get value from the cost. In the future, unless I have it written in stone that I will be using it at x time each day, I'd just get a few day passes and go with that.

This may shed some light - it appears the "deluxe" pass includes the scrubs while the *standard" pass does not. The per day cost of the length of cruise standard pass is less than the $16cost of the daily passes sold in advance. http://www.passporterboards.com/forums/showthread.php?t=292287

No you do not have to specify who it is for. You purchase it thru Gifts and Amenities and it does not include the scrubs.

The scrubs are not mandatory. If you purchase the more expensive length of cruise pass once onboard, then the scrubs are included in that price so you might as well take advantage of them. The OP's original question is whether they could buy a length of cruise pass without the scrubs so that they wouldn't be charged for them. I would think not, but will ask when I get onboard in a couple of weeks.

On the Dream in December it technically opened at noon (well, it was open just before, but senses officially opened at noon). However, upto the muster drill they run tours in Senses and have an open house, including of the rainforest room. So lots of people in and out, noisy, and no privacy to speak of.

We were told we were welcome to use the RR during that open house, but were warned re: humans and noise. While I sat down for a few minutes on the tile loungers, I came back during early dining to actually "use" the RR.

On embarkation day, Senses was open 12 noon - 10 pm. The other days it was 8 am - 10 pm. It is not open debarkation day.

On the Dream and the Fantasy the RR has the special themed showers (swimsuit on), some different types of saunas, heated tile loungers, and two small hot tubs (hold 2-3 people each). Also, the hot tub area is on an enclosed deck (there are some openings for ventilation) that pops out the side of the ship, giving an excellent view (sunset is really neat from there).

When we have used it on either ship we are sometimes the only person in it, though never have there been more than about 5 or 6 people; however, that may have to do with the times we are going.

I spend most of my time in RR on the loungers. So relaxing. I sometimes bring a tablet to read on, and have fallen asleep on them more than once (I learned to set a timer on vibrate so at least I wouldn't sleep too long).

A google search will turn up lots of pictures and videos of the RR; some are quite good and informative.

Thank you for doing that!! I've been in the RR on the Fantasy before where the loungers were all taken and NO ONE was abiding by any kind of sense of "I've been here long enough and people are waiting".

Or there are occasionally the ones who don't seem to care if any spa attendants are trying to enforce a 30-minute limit during crowded times. I was in the hot tub and saw one woman change from her lounger - where she'd been since I first got to the RR well over 30 minutes before - to another one in an attempt to try and trick the attendant into thinking she hadn't been there for well over half an hour.

They are not mandatory.

They are messy.

To be super-obnoxious I'm going to quote myself to clarify what I'd said.

Just curious....where were you able to see a 7-night Fantasy Navigator that confirmed those prices? I have not been able to locate one.
