The Meet 'n Greet is open for the first 1-1/2 hours the park (DCA) is open. Right now, DCA opens mostly at 10 so meet n greet is until 11:30. They currently have Chip 'n Dale or Pluto. You can get one meeting per day. You will get one coupon for each DV card you have. Current exp. is Sept. 09. I see by the previous post it says it opens 1/2 hour after opening, but I have been there before 10:30 several times and it's been open.

They CMs at the counter were pretty strict about only using the coupon for the DV one this summer, but I recently noticed that they have relaxed this. Last time the CM said I could use it for any pix I wanted. Last year I used my coupons for the Capt. Hook one, Darth, and Hitchhiking Ghosts.

I'm saving my coupons for now since I'm buying the CD which will have pix form WDW and DLR on them.

I hear people saying "coupon"... is there something I need to bring to the meet-n-greet?

When you go they give you a coupon that give the photo center for your free 5x7 when you go all you need to take is id and your credit card.... as far as ive read... i'm canadian so i can't get one :sad1:

hopefully someone will confirm...because we'll be there in december and would like to do this on both friday and saturday...:thumbsup2

Yes this is what they do.

So is it each card or each account? Because DH and I have the same account but he has a card on mine so we could get two photos? I think it's neat and hopefully our cm will be nice :)

When my DH remembers to bring his card, we get two vouchers for free photos-one for each card.

i was wondering the same thing too. if we get a card, it'll just be one account with 2 cards on it. it would be nice if we could get 2 photos...

Don't tell anyone (shhhh!) but the CMs don't look too closely at the cards. If you show 2 cards, you'll get 2 coupons. It helps if the cards are different-as far as the design goes. They don't check account numbers.

do you get the photo then or pick it up somewhere else?

You pick out, and up, your photo(s) at the Photo Store in DCA. You can't use the coupon in DL. I suggest not waiting until close to closing time as there may be a line. During the day there's rarely a line. :goodvibes

Then couldn't you go twice?

Good, I was worried that you'd have to carry it around all day. Do I need to do it the same day?

They would probably remember you if you tried doing it twice in one day since it is such a short time frame. I was remembered going two days in a row. :) Plus it's a nice perk to get one. No reason to abuse the perk and risk it disappearing. :scared1: ;)

No, like Tasscraper says they will remember you. In fact, one of the CMs knows us so well know that she greets us with a hug!

This is what is written on the back of the card (coupon)
"DISNEY VISA FREE CHARACTER PHOTO VOUCHER. Redeem this voucher and your numbered photo card for ONE 5 x 7 Disney Friends Portrait at Greetings in Disney's Adventure Park. PHOTOS ARE ONLY AVAILABLE AT DISNEY'S CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE PARK 24 HOURS FROM DATE PHOTO IS TAKEN. VALID THRU 9/28/09.

So, that makes it look like you have to get it that day (or within 24 hours) However, the photos do remain on your Photopass account until 30 days after taken/or 30 days after photos uploaded. I have Disney Meet 'n Greet pix on my PP account that were taken in Sept. When I order my CD, they will still be there. I think you can still get them even after 24 hours. But if there's a pix you really want, probably a good idea to get it on the same day.

As I was typing in the back of the card I noticed that in June this year we got a few vouchers that are good until 12/31/2010. Funny thing is that those cards say to redeem them at Main St. Photo Supply. I know from talking to the CMs there that these vouchers were given out in error so maybe the change is where to pick them up is due to the rehab that'll be going on at DCA over the next few years. I was also told that the Free photo Meet 'n Greet was renewed for 5 more years (this I was told in the summer of '08)

I wasn't suggesting something dishonest.. I was just wondering how the process went.

I was worried that since the photo was taken in the morning, that we'd have to be careful with it all day or take it back to the room.

I didn't think you were asking to be dishonest.

I have been able to use my free coupon from the meet and greet twice at Disneyland's Photo Supply. I've never been told I have to go to DCA for the photos. And all photos taken have remained on my PhotoPass card for longer than 24 hours.
