On cruise booking question.

I am sure this has been asked 1000's of times already but search is failing me right now.

My wife and I are talking about going on the 7 night Western Caribbean on the Fantasy in May 2019. With our WDW/Dream trip coming up in just a few days is there any extra benefits to booking a future trip while on a cruise? If so, I will wait until then to do so.

• Stateroom credit of $100 (3-6 nights) or $200 (7-night cruises or longer)
• Reduced Deposit on 7-night sailings or longer

**There are block out dates, as with any special offer.

Only time the advice is not to wait, is
Peak time cruises, Christmas Easter, or very popular cruises where the price could increase and wipe out the discount.

If it is just a few days the answer is probably no reason to book and then rebook. If it was longer the reason would be the chance of a price increase eating up the savings and the possibility the cabin/cruise you want becomes sold out.

Yeah...if there is a cabin that you MUST have, I would book now and reshop on the cruise. If you do not use a TA, the future sales person can even get you in the same cabin. If you use a TA it is more complicated as they have to cancel the first thereby releasing the room to move you.

Be aware if you do book and reshop you will need to pay another deposit as it is a new reservation. The first will be refunded to the form of payment. I usually turn around and pop it right back on the reservation once it hits the account or gift card because I was already not used to the money.
