? on Brown Derby

Has anybody eaten at the Brown Derby lately? DH & I are going down in Sept. and have decided to do 2TS only and since we will be staying at the BWI, we thought of going to the BD but haven't eaten dinner there for a few years. Would love to hear your experiences and was it worth the 2TS. TIA.

Hi Paula,

My DH and I ate lunch there last month. This was my least favorite restaurant during the trip. I had the short rib for my appetizer and it was cold. the cobb salad was mushy and the grapefruit cake was just plain nasty!

I would not recommend wasting 2 TS on this place. I'll never do it again.

We ate lunch there in January and it's one of only 2 places that my d wanted to eat at again (Jiko's is the other). She had the steak, which she pronounced perfect. I had the oyster & brie soup, which was fabulous. She tasted it, without the oyster (doesn't do shellfish), and said she liked it. The server must have been nearby because shortly thereafter, he brought her a small cup of just the soup (no oysters), without a request and without a charge!

Full disclosure: we weren't on the DDP now and we won't be on the DDP on our next trip, so I don't worry about whether it's "worth" 2 credits. It's definitely worth what we paid for it.

We have a lunch booked for our September trip.

Honestly we ate there once and we hated it. The food was cold and undercooked and our server was too busy flirting with the bartender. We never went back again.
