On board or costco discount?

Sadly, you can't combine the Disney Visa and the OBB offer. You can use your Disney Visa to book onboard, but you won't get both OBC. Since the OBB credit is larger, you'd obviously want that one.

Oops....my bad! Sorry for the bad info. Good to hear that Target GC is still in play. :goodvibes

If you have a Target red card you get 5% off all purchases.
You can buy Disney gift cards at Target and get the discount.
So $1,000 in Disney gift cards only cost $950 at Target using a Target red card
You can use the Disney gift cards to purchase/make installments payments on your cruise or to pay for excursions or anything else that will get charged to your room during the cruise.

Sorry to be obtuse... I don't see these for purchase at Target.com are they only sold in brick and mortar stores?

Thanks!
Lissy

We just booked our Fantasy cruise sailing 12/20 today via Costco. It was the first time we'd ever used them.

I compared costs and found their offer of $925 and $665 cash card as well as about $500 less than Disney rates to be competitive. I booked two veranda cabins (apparently the last two connecting on the boat).

You get both a Costco # and Disney # (this is what you use to register online, book excursions etc.).

I also used them for Travel Guard travel insurance.

It was painless and quick.

See you on the boat :surfweb::drive::cool1:

Hello. I have a few Costco related questions :)

Do you have to be a Costco member to use them as a TA? Is the cash card to be used just at Costco? Can you use Disney gift cards to pay Costco for your cruise?

Yes you have to be a member and the cash card is only good at Costco. I am not sure about paying costco with Disney gift cards but would be interested to know this answer myself.

You can use disney gift cards and most costco's will allow you to take the card to guest services to cash it out.

Thanks for the replies. One last question. If a family member or friend who is not cruising with you is a member, can they book the cruise for you?

Yes! I use my MIL account to book our cruises. I was even able to do our onboard booking transfer to Costco myself. If your family member has a travel account, you can book your own cruise on there (if they are willing to share the login info with you). Also, the cash card will be mailed to the account holder's address. Give them a heads up to look for it. It usually comes 1-2 weeks after you return from the cruise.

I believe there may be a small cancellation fee with Costco if you totally cancel your cruise and don't transfer to a new cruise. BE sure to check on that if you think you might have to cancel.

Not true. There is no cancellation fee. The only fee is if you down grade your room more than one time.

I was told the same thing by 2 different Costco Travel reps, that they charge a $25 cancellation fee and $25 each time they make a change. However, people on this board have repeatedly said that's not true, and the fee only applies when you make changes that reduces the cost of the cruise. It doesn't hurt to ask and confirm though.

But you can combine the Disney Visa OBC with the Costco Cash Card offer, correct? The reason why I ask is, I used my Disney Visa to book my last DCL cruise, but they didn't automatically give me the OBC. I had to call back later (after I learned about the perk) to ask for it. How would that work through Costco if DCL won't talk to me about my reservation since Costco is the TA? Ask Costco and have them ensure the OBB is there?
