Now, how does this work. If I book a cruise onboard during our next cruise (which is in 2006), but the dates are not open for when I want to go (in 2008), when I change my date will they take 10% off of that price and still give me the $200 onboard credit?

So if I move my booking the very day they open the new dates for 2008 I should get a pretty good price, right? That is if they will take 10% off of the new sailing date.

I think so. 2008--wow!

I know, I am really looking ahead. We already are planning to go next year in 2006 during spring break, but now that we have to go during school breaks we need to go to an every other year rather than an every year cruise (we have been going every year in September--MUCH cheaper in that month).

I am actually looking forward to next month so that I can say our cruise is only a month away. This will be our first year without a cruise since 2000!

We cruised in March of 2004 and wanted to book for March 2006. They were not that far out yet so we booked for November 2005 and they said we could transfer the cruise date when the date opened up. However, we decided to stay with the Novemebr 2005 Thanksgiving cruise we had booked only as a "hold date". Two stops at Castaway Cay was too enticing to pass on!

Here is a question... Is that 10% off the brochure rate or off a reduced rate for early booking or repeat customers. ten percent off the brochure rate doesn't seem that great to me. We are getting about 20-22% of on our crusie 11/2006 with Dreams unlimited.

The 10% is of the "rack rate" it has an early booming discount built in if it is a certain amount of time (12 months or more I think) before the date of the cruise you are booking. As it gets closer to the date, the rate will go up.
If you rebook while on board, you get the 10% and a $200 onboard credit (for 7 day cruises, not 3 or 4 days). You can transfer the booking to a travel agent and take advantage of any incentives that they offer IN ADDITION to you r 10%, and $200 credit from Disney!!!
