On a sad note...

I just wanted to say that I am so very sorry for your loss...

DH and I lost our firstborn son in August '04 and I know that there are no words to take away the pain. God Bless You and your whole family.

I think a lot of people have had wonderful ideas - I love the idea to kind of find a place and make it special so that every time you and your family (and DD and HER family when she's old enough!! :)) can go and remember your son.

Hugs to you,

I'm so sorry for your loss. There are some great ideas here! I hope they help your daughter heal and bring a part of her brother with her to Disney! :goodvibes

At the beginning of December our first son was stillborn. We had a trip planned to Disney for Christmas with our two daughters. We still went and while there we bought a personalized christmas ornament with his name on it as a keepsake. The Christmas shop at downtown disney and the magic kingdom are open all year. We went to the one in Magic Kingdom. The balloon release and Legacy tiles are great ideas. The ornmanet is something you can take with home with you. It was wonderful to take my mind off things and see the girls experience so much joy. It was also difficult seeing many babies in one place, but the joy with girls outweighed it.

What a heartbreaking story. I am so sorry for your loss.

I think the people here have given some wonderful ideas and Peg, you are so sweet to try and do something to help make this little girl's trip special.

I just wanted to say how sorry I am for your loss. Our son died when he was 3 weeks old in Dec 2003, and our daughter was 3 at the time. It has been a long, hard grieving process for her. :sad1: (and our son never even came home-he was in the NICU the whole time). I say you do everything you can to help her deal w/ her grief. :sad1: I hope the disney trip helps heal her heart, even if just a little.

Just wanted to express my family's deepest sympathies for your loss.

Our prayers are with you that God will bless your family, and your special trip.
