I thought I would post this here and update it once in a while to keep my motivation.
Background.
When I was younger I could eat anything I wanted, and never gained a pound, then I hit my 30's, and started to gain a little weight, so I cut down on what I eat, but still kept a steady climb.
Based on family history this is a bad thing for me, heart trouble and diabetis runs in the family.
I have a couple of friends that have recently lost a lot of weight, both of them using the Zone Diet. So on Friday I decided it was time to do something.
Saturday morning I got on the scale and it told me 245. I was very good at following directions this weekend, and this morning I was at 239. I realize that most if not all of that has to be water weight, but it is still encouraging.
I realize I am never going to be what the Dr.s concider Ideal weight which is 185, but my goal is to get down and live somewhere in the 195 to 205 range.
