OMIGOSH... did I miss something...

I didn't see her there!!! THIEF I TELL YA!!! THIEF!!! I hope she went and looked at yours!!!

Guess who forgot to log out again?!? The above post was mine!! :maleficen

I dont' get CK mag so can't help you there. But she said it was in an ad in the mag.....HMMMMMM Very interesting.......
Still is super cute!

Your layout was really cute. . .no wonder she was a layout thief! :rotfl2:

I really liked your pages! :flower:

Hmmmm, looks kinda like a complete scraplift to me. That's a little too much exactly the same.

Patty, I think I read January through May 2005 CK magazines from the local library, & I don't recall seeing any ads that looked like photos of Lauren. I would think the ad would have jumped out at me since that is one the photo shoots of your Lauren that really caught my eye.

just think of the drama you could cause over on 2peas! maggie

I don't remember seeing a picture like that in CK. I can go back and check if you want. Seems kind of fishy...

well, I see we are taking care of that for ya. :goodvibes you can just sit back and watch the drama unfold... maggie

Yes, it was in CK magazine. It's in an ad for the Scrapbook Expo.
I don't know how old the photo is but the ad I found was in March 2005 issue on page 122.

In case you don't have it, I scanned it for you.

Well look at that!
Thanks Timon...
well it sure 'aint Lauren - lol
I really don't care about the scraplift thing - flattered!
I had sent the layouts through www.scrapsubmit.com for the 'many photo layout' book CK was working on and the thought of it being published and I never saw it or got notified is what bothered me!
Of course someone on 2peas brought it to my attention that others could have the same idea :sad2:

Thanks everyone!

why, yes she did "bring it to your attention" now didn't she? there was no need to "yell" about it though. (and you know what my reply post to that would have been right? :goodvibes ) maggie

So glad I don't post on 2peas. I think the place would make me nuts!
Still a very cute layout!

I don't remember seeing that ad either, but then the ad has a white background it doesn't jump out at you like the black one does.(Interesting she also used black) I don't think there was any reason for her to yell like that, I didn't find anything in your post there to warrent that, You were just asking where sheu saw it, because you thought you missed seeing Lauren in the mag, at least that is what I got out of it.

 Well, I guess I've once again put my foot in my mouth. (Ouch!)

Well, Patty, you did have a very cute idea for the LO!

ok, don't bite my head off here...but......

with soooooooooo many scrappers out there, and so many products, sometimes a picture/lo is bound to be similar in some sort of way.

i was at a crop/convention...heck, i can't remember, after scrapping for this long, i am lucky if i remember my name.

anyhoo, at this crop/convention, i was listening to somebody's conversation about this very subject...she was making a little mini book to place on a scrapbook page for a class that she was teaching (from scratch, or so she thought). she had it, never showed it to anybody, and lo and behold in the next issue of whatever magazine it was at the time, there was a lo similar to the one she made with a mini book attached.

lets face it, on a lo, there are just so many places that you can put a picture, or ways to take a picture.

if it was a scraplift, or picture lift, she should...and did give credit...maybe she did see it in the mag...

please don't hate me for my opinion, it is just that....since i know how the some people at 2peas are.

LOL, what a spaz! Maybe she lurks here and got offended?

Karen's right, there are only so many ways to stage a picture/do layouts. I have seen professional baby pictures with the naked baby in a wash tub, so a stock pot is not that far off. Hers just looked more like yours than the ad, by coincidence.

Your layout is great Patty, and I hope you are still proud of it! I am so sensitive my feelings probably would have been hurt, but that's why I don't post over there!
