I'm just so excited, I wanted to share...my husband and I went to our local casino on Saturday (which we hardly ever do) just to spend some time together and have lunch, and my husband put $20 in a machine and won $15,573. I was so excited...it was truly unbelievable!!!

CONGRATULATIONS! What wonderful news.
Several years ago, a friend thru her name in a raffle at the casino. She left before they called out the winner. She WON $250,000....

she had stayed she would have gotten more, I forget how much more, but I recall it was quite a bit.

They called her as she was arriving home and talk about astonished, she really thought it was a joke, lol...
She is a lovely person and it is "fun" to know someone that actually won BIG, especially because it was some special raffle! Just awesome

Location: Very Northern NY near the canadian border!

If you lived North of the border you wouldn't have to worry about those pesky taxes. We don't have to clam winnings as income therefor we are not taxed.

But, hey congrats!

I do our taxes and we won't be affected by the taxes because we have 4 kids and our taxes are minimum, we also had them take out the taxes and it wasn't much. Thanks so much for the congrats, we haven't decided what to do with it but we don't have any debt and we've already saved our money for our sept Disney trip...I guess we'll just have to wait and see. We're still quite happy cuz we never have luck like that!
