OMG! Yeti codes-ONLY gives carts which Sells for 5 credits

The whole thing makes no sense if you ask me. Still having rare items is cool, but that is accomplished through items you can only get in park, quests, the pins, etc... Not everyone can, or does go to a Disney park on a regular basis. Having in game items be rare just because they are expensive is silly. It will more likely keep people from playing and encourage jealous people to try to scam more than anything else.

Good point! Why make it harder for us to earn fake money to buy fake items that are occasionally traded for other fake items. It's all pixels no matter how you slice it. What is the benefit to Disney to make credits harder to earn? I think the harder it is the less people will participate and doesn't that defeat the purpose?!

I completely agree. Rare or not, it's still fake. I get the point of rare items, etc etc...but it's fake. People can explain everything away, but the bottom line is that it's fake. And sometimes it really seems as though VMK loses sight of that, much to the annoyance of the players who keep having things changed on them.

We've been asking this question a looonngggg time!! :rotfl2: They just don't get it though. They're also missing the boat on getting help from the younger players who don't have the patience for the credit system in VMK, but who COULD be a great ally for Disney in getting families to the parks! Look what McDonalds has done for years! Kids can be a powerful influence in their parents spending. My kids however, grew tired of the endless waiting in lines, hard to play games, and constant technical problems. They are very quick to switch over to miniclip, Disney Connection, Barbie.com or
(my sons new favorite) Runescape. I'm sure there are many other kids who feel the same. In fact, their quest card sets from our last trip to WDW are sitting on my desk unused. They never even asked for them!
VMK are you listening?

Agree with cowboys_girl and tigressjewel. The difficulty to receive some of these virtual prizes is beyond reasonable. It discourages a lot of players from trying. After a while, there are some things in the game that get recategorized from a GOAL to IMPOSSIBLE or HOPELESS. When a game becomes hopeless, it is no longer fun and people move on. I had yet another friend from Beta come to tell me that he is quitting as of last night. I hope VMK will realize that making the virtual prizes nearly impossible does not make the game fun and actually turns people off.

To get this back on topic...the POTC2 and Narnia games are showing errors again instead of codes this morning. VMK needs to fix this as well.

I don't get too worked about about these changes, since they apply to everyone equally, but my little one gets really upset when, for example, she finds her 50th mickey and gets a prize that Disneyland won't give her anymore because that prize is over. "Then why did it tell me on won it yesterday, dad?" she asks. Same question with the Ned tent room pdf. Same question with winning 200 credits and a chair. "But why do they tell us we won it if we don't get it?"

The best explanation I can offer is "Well, sweetie, you see, sometimes, programmers are too busy to fix their mistakes."

I can totally agree with all of you who have younger children who play vmk! My heart goes out to you...on trying to explain vmk's way of thinking these days! I remember when my son (grown) introduce us to vmk! He even said it was suppose to be for 8-14 years old...but alot of aldults play it! So if you ask me....they might want to say its for kids but it isn't...after being on here now for a while..I can truly say that vmk is for the masterminds!! Games that are made adults with high scores..none of the games with the likes of maybe JC for little ones..and the one game that they could play to get good credits they take away! Yes it is True that I am upset that Yeti isn't giving the credits...I'm not a kid (that was a long long time ago rofl) but I am one who just can't play that good. But I also can see where a child would ask and wonder ...when it says they are suppose to get their credits and then don't!!! I can only hope that IF enough of us write into the black whole that maybe ...just maybe they will bring Yeti back with the credits that it now says we get! :confused3

I was going to post. Then thought what is the point. VMK just does not get it.
I remember when we all could not wait to get onto VMK. Now many of us miss days wonder why? Duh they took a kids game and made it too hard, constantly disappointing the players. Showed favortism to a few, and made playing not much fun anymore.
