I have found a huge difference in price between two airlines quotes.

On the Flybe website.

Southampton Mon 07 Feb 2011 07:15 departure to Orly with a return on Thu 10 Feb 2011 at 17.20.

Total price £318.64.

Now booking through the Air France website the exact same flights and the flights are actually with Flybe £225.80...

Howcome booking a flybe flight through a different airline is nearly £100 cheaper..?

Flybe and AirFrance now operate on a code share basis out of Southampton to Paris so they are all the same thing. As to why Airfrance is cheaper, I have been wondering that myself!

Have you got the same luggage allowances etc with both?

Hi.

I never went as far as doing the luggage, or at least i don't think i did..:)

I booked 1 adult and 1 child.

Looks like you got yourself a bargain there! :thumbsup2

We've booked one way flights home with Flybe and paid a bargain €16 each. Air France wanted more than £220 each for the very same flight! Just shows how important it is to check out every option.

I found the same thing with different airlines when looking for flights to the US between us as a group we got a saving of around £300!!! So it is always worth checking all your options before clicking the 'buy' button

I have had the same experience when flying to Paris with Airfrance (cheaper) but booking it with Alitalia (more expensive).
Or to London with a Meridianafly (cheaper) booked via British Airways (more expensive).

I have been told that's because the airplane itself belongs to Airfrance (to Paris) or to Meridianafly (to London) so it's more expensive when booked with another company.
