DH: 30 (Thinks I have been brainwashed by Disney)

Date: 4/7

This was the big day! Unfortunately out flight wasn't leaving until 7pm, but we did have to make the drive to Burlington to the Airport..

I woke up early so full of excitement... I felt like I was 5 years old all over... It was a great feeling.....

Our DD, Sarah had never flown before so I was nervous about how she would do... That and carrying a car seat and pushing a stroller, plus carryons.... OK.. So we need a U Haul just to get to the plane!

Sarah, who loves anything fast, squealed with delight as we began our take off.. In fact she wanted the plane to go faster!!! Phew... The plane wasn't going to be a problem.

We landed at MCO, about 15 minutes early, and our Driver, Sonny forom FL Tours was there and waiting! Let me just tell you that FL Tours is great ! The car was immaculate and we were at our hotel by 12:20!

We are both teachers and got the Dolphin for $129... Are members of SPG and have an SPG AMEX... That = great uprgrade! 9th floor, lake view with a Balcony! WHOO HOO!

Now... To Sleep......... (That was the hardest part of the day!)

It's Morning! I jumped out of bed and opened the curtains! All I could think was AWESOME!

We decided to take the day and explore the pool, the Boardwalk and DTD.. Such a great choice!

Coming from northern NYS where the temps hit -50 F this winter, and the fact that we had 6 inches of fresh snow before we left, we could hardly contain the guiddyness of 75 first thing in the morning! It was easy to spot the "northerners" that morning with the pale, pasty white skin... The people who had a new found spring in there step, the people with the bottles of SPF 45! AHHHHHHH!

DD wanted to go to the pool so we donned our suits, looking even more pale than before and away we went! As we approached the Grotto, DH and I looked at each other and realized we had found... Paradise! Warmth, Waterfalls....
We spent 3 hours that morning in the pool... DD loved it! The water was very warm to us and it felt good just to be on vacation! As I sat in the kiddie pool with dd, all the mom's commented that I must be from up north.. I giggled and said what gave it away?!!!

We left that tropical paradise to head back for lunch and a nap.... Then off to DTD... We had a date with certain "Spud"... Mr. Spud as he is now known at our house was born on 4/8/2004... He was a blessing on this trip! DD played with him every day as we were getting ready! If you haven't built your wond Mr. Potato Head.. You have to do it! Next time we go I'm building my own.... DH is already planning to build his own Lincoln Log kit... You gotta love it ! Where else can you become a kid again!

Please exlain in better detail about this Mr. Potato Head kit thatI hear about. Prices, selection, etc.

And a Lincoln Log kit? Really? Details, honey, details!

At the Store Once Upon A Toy in DTD, you can choose from dozens of Mr. Potato Head parts.. You get an empty box, and a head.. You then get to stuff as many parts in the box with the head as you can.. It costs $16.00! DH liked it so much he got an extra box and stufffed it full of parts!!! I think DD has one of every part!(except arms of course.... She has 4 arms and lots of shoes!) There is a HUGE selection of the coolest things!

Lincoln Logs is similar. You get a box and for $16.00 you get to stuff as many pieces in as you can.. They can be any of the pieces... (That is DH's purchase next time!)
