I was searching online and found info on the VIP tours of Disneyland so I called and asked... :scared1:

$195 and hour (4 or 6 hour minimum) for someone to guide you through the park and teach you how to use fastpass and who will go get them for you.

$295 an hour (4 or 6 hour minimum) to be an ACTUAL VIP where you don't wait in lines or anything

Those prices are CRAZY!!

Anyone actually done this? I'm curious if it was worth the money (it's not an option for my family - just curious)?

I have a friend who just did this at WDW and she said it was totally worth it. Her son also has a handicap so it was important that they do as much as they could with him. They are very successfull people and money isn't an issue with them..

It'd be nice.. but how many people CAN actually do it.. ya know

If you really need and/or want that personal touch to your visit, it can certainly be very useful. Guest Relations Hosts and Hostesses have to undergo quite a good bit of training before they start doing VIP Tours, so they're pretty well prepared to help you make the most of your visit.

The cost doesn't have to be all that prohibitive either. I've heard of groups splitting the cost, allowing everyone to experience a VIP Tour without breaking the bank.

True. I think each guide is capped at 10 people. Even if you have half that and split it, it really isn't too bad.

When you see VIP in such instances they are not talking about the average joe's - that is why they call it VIP - and price it so high.

Think more about Bill Gates wanting to visit DLR. While he would be walking around DLR paying $295 an hour he is earning thousand's of dollars from his investments. Still coming out ahead! :cool2:

When I called last month, they said that november was $295 with a 6 hr min on the premium. However, she repeated MULTIPLE times that they do NOT offer any front of line access and that this practice can get a guide fired. I thought it was interesting that this was said as strongly as it was. But I wouldn't count on NOT waiting in lines.

VIPs do get on rides faster, the guide takes them up the exit and they are allowed to board much more quickly then the rest of us who get to wait in line. It may not be front of the line but it is fast. We watched an actress ride Space Mtn 2-3 times while we waited for our kids to ride it once, our kids had FPs but still had to wait with everyone else, this actress and her friend did not, they simply walked up the exit, rode, came back, checked their photo, walked back up, rode, came back, checked the photo...you get the idea. :)

If I had the money and not the anonymity then yes, that would be a great bargain.

So VIP's have to pay to do this? I thought it was a privelege for being famous and would help Disney not have a mob sceen around these people.

At Christmas while waiting to ride Toy Story Mania we saw Chip Foose and he was escorted by a cast member and used the exit.

You know, celebs may not have to pay for it, but "regular" people who aren't famous might. I'm really not sure how that works but it would be FUN to do!! :)

I really doubt that *real* "VIPs" have to pay, or do this type of tour. I bet they have their own way of doing things.

But for those normal people who want to feel like a VIP and have the money, this is the way to do it.

The "dis diva" trips here, groups of woman who meet on the Dis and make a trip altogether, have gone in on VIP tours at least twice. Doing it that way, so that each person just pays a tenth of the cost, is a great way to do it. When doing it just as a family, that makes it much more expensive for that family.
