OMG... this is so not right (The Office related)!!!

I just got done watching last night's episode--this has to be one of my favorites ever, right up there with "The Injury."

"Corporate called this morning. I told them you weren't here."
"Well did you tell them why?"
"No, I figured I wouldn't mention that you grilled your foot."

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I have to say that my overall favorite Office moment is when Jim puts one nickle in Dwight's phone each day so he gets used to the weight and then one day he takes them all out and Dwight smacks himself in the face with the phone! I was in tears that episode! :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

On occassion, I also find myself saying "sure thing, Mr. Poop".

I also highly enjoyed in the one with the basketball game (season 1) when Phyllis asks if she can play and Michael says no. She then asks if she can cheerlead and he say "God, Phyllis, ew. That's worse than you playing."

LOL!
The injury is one of my favorite episodes too. I just LOL every time I think about how he got his injury! :rotfl:

have you been able to rent the extras disc? if you can have haven't, rent it. omg, david brent's music video is worth the price alone (I own the complete uk office set). I swear I don't think I have ever seen anything funnier...ever. anywhere.
Did you know that Ricky Gervais has another series called Extras? That's also brilliant and if you like his humour, you'll love it. There are two series and I just got series one on DVD. I don't know if two is out yet. He has some pretty big stars in it, Kate Winslett, Robert Deniro, Ben Stiller and they all make fun of themselves. It's great.

So I got seasons one and two for Christmas and I may have found one of the best episodes...Diversity Day. It's the one where they were having a required diversity seminar because of Michael's comments. Michael found the seminar absolutly pointless so he made one of his own. He made them all put the cards on their foreheads and talk to each other as that stereotype! Stanley got the 'black' card so no one knew how to talk to him. Angela got 'Jamacian (excuse my butching of that spelling)'. Kevin goes up to her and asks 'Do you want to smoke some weed' 'No' 'Well you should, maan'. Ha, I am so easily amused. I'm watching it now, the third time in a row!

When Kelly walks back into the conference room & Michael starts talking to her, "Welcome to my convenience store, would you like to try my cookie, cookie, try some of my cookie, cookie", over & over. Then she slaps him in the face.

One of my all-time favorite lines from The Office has to be "You can't fire me! I don't work in this van!" from The Injury. :rotfl: I've recorded some of the funnier audio and inserted the clips randomly into my iPod's playlists so they just pop up whenever; people who see me out running probably wonder wth's wrong with me that causes me to just up and burst into laughter all the time.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: "See, now she gets it!" "Nope, don't think she does."

-----------------------------
"Well, you're a bad driver" "Oh geez, I'm not a woman am I?!?"

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

We got season 2 for Christmas and I could watch those over and over.

I missed this one... I could see myself busting a gut. Dwight is such a dingbat. Jim is so mean to him and yet it cracks me up to no end!

Michael I just want to slap upside the head. How someone can be a manager and so clueless is beyond me.

My favorite show opening, by far, was the one where Jim was in the Connecticut office and took some of Dwight's stationery and would fax messages to Dwight from "Future Dwight" w/messages like "Today, at 8:10, someone is going to poison the coffee" and then, after Dwight gets the fax, he sees the one accounting guy w/the coffee and dives to knock the coffee out of the guy's hands!:rotfl: :rotfl:

I agree that they have to do a little more with Creed, he's hilarious. The Christmas one where he walks in, stops at the tree, picks up a gift & puts it under his arm. As he's walking by, Jim says to him, I think you're supposed to leave a gift. Creed smiles, pats him on the back & says "And a Merry Christmas to you".

...or the one (The Convention) where Angela and Meredith are talking in the lunch room and Creed walks in and says to A (hang on...gotta pull it up in iTunes), "Noticed you handing out some shekels. How would one get on that train?"
Angela: "That was per diem for Philadelphia."
Meredith: "Ugh, that town smells like cheesesteaks."
Angela: "That town is full of history!"
She storms out, and Creed sits down and starts eating her lunch. He then says to Meredith, "Andrea's the, uh, office b**ch. You'll get used to her." Then he reaches to shake M's hand, saying, "Creed," like they're just meeting for the first time. :rotfl:

What I'd forgotten was that in the Conflict Resolution episode (which I watched this afternoon), the complaint Creed lodged was something about how he was sick of looking at the redhead all day and wanted a seat facing the receptionist.

I am so happy I've found this thread! I'm obsessed with The Office. A few of my work friends are too, and we get together on Fridays and re-hash the entire episode, complete with funny quotes from the show (many have been mentioned here). I have found that people either love this show, or hate it. I like to say that people with intelligent humor enjoy the show (collective congratulatory pats on the back for us all). There are three people at our lunch table who think we're insane and they just don't get it.

One of my favorite lines was from the episode where Oscar was outted by Michael, and they wanted to out other people in the office. I think it was Dwight who said right in front of everyone, "What about Phyllis? She makes no attempt to me feminine!" and Phyllis took no offense at all but quietly said, "I'm engaged to Bob Vance." Oh, I laughed so hard!! This is the only show I actually laugh out loud at. The subtlety of the actors is GENIUS!

Here's a debate I had with a co-worker today. I don't think Jan knew about the photo Michael e-mailed when she came in to talk to him, but my coworker thinks she knew about it, but didn't care. What do you think?

You know, I hadn't thought about the fact that she may not have known about the e-mail, but now that you mention it, she probably doesn't know. As uptight as she is (especially about people knowing about the two of them), she would have said something. After the big kiss, I was waiting for Michael to "wake up" from a dream or something, because it just seemed weird that she wasn't po'd about the e-mail. So maybe you're right.

Also, my favorite episode is the diversity training (with The Injury coming in a close second). Carell has that character down pat! I do agree, it takes a certain type of person to really think that the show is gut-bustingly funny. I am proud to say that I am a member of the club. Did someone else say "highly intelligent" ;)

Ooh, interesting theory. I hadn't thought about Jan not knowing about the email, either...I just assumed she did, and it sorta freaked me out when she didn't eviscerate Michael for it. So now that you mention it, I think she probably didn't know.

At any rate, I can't wait till Thursday! Unfortunately, I'm always either working or just getting off work Thurs. nights and (somehow) never remember about the show in time. Thank God for iTunes and downloads after the fact!

yep, they ran extras on hbo here. we watched a couple of them, but for some reason never got into it like we did the office. no idea why. maybe I'll check them out again sometime.

I assumed that she did NOT know about the email...as psycho as she is, I don't think she could ignore that.

DH and I are so hooked on that show. We have watched it from the beginning, but through the first season we kept saying 'this show will never survive'. I'm so happy to see that it has and is even funnier than it was to start.

On the NBC website, the cast has done fake PSA's. They are flippin' hilarious. My DH also had Dwight call me one day (it was a recording, obviously)...it was all about the job I "applied" for. He found that option on the website too.

Oh, if anyone has NOT tried this- it's hilarious! I sent one to myself and to my DH.

I was just reading the bios of the cast. If Pam had married Roy, her name would have been Pam Anderson. Roy's last name in the show is Anderson.

I'm watching Season 1 now... I'm on Diversity Day :rotfl2:
