:sad2: Ugh! I am in tears! My TA just called to see if we got our docs today. UPS says they were left on our porch! WELL.. NOTHING!!!! They never came here. OMG! They have sent my tickets to somebody else and just left them on their porch! I have her calling around right now to figure out what is going on. I am sooo upset! What will they do if they can not find our tickets!!?? :confused3

UPS is responsible! If you have a tracking number, your TA or you can call them and get them to trace the package. Did your TA ship it to you, or did Disney? It doesn't do any good now, but any time you're expecting a UPS/FedEx/AirBorne/etc shipment, make sure the sender requires your signature before the service will leave the package.

Did you buy a package plan? If so, your tickets probably were not in there, just vouchers to turn in at the front desk. I'm sure it will all work out. :sunny:

Call UPS immediately and ask them to contact the driver. They can correspond with them. He/she might be able to remember where they might have left it. Do it now while it is still fresh in their mind.

and lastly, Disney can cancel those tickets and reissue!!

Your TA should be able to reassure you on these points as well!!

:wizard: :grouphug: :wizard:

I am SOOO relieved! Thanks for all your responces. My n-bor just came over and had them in his hands. They were on HIS porch! I feel sooo much better now. Goodness, I was so worried we would not get them in time. Now I have my things and it feel more real now that we are going! WOOHOO!! :cool1:

So glad you got your tickets!!! :) Our UPS carriers are notorious for not paying attention to addresses. I've even had boxes of checks delivered to the wrong address. Fortunately, I (like you) have an honest neighbor.

About a month ago I had ordered something from HSN and I say on the UPS tracking web page it said it had been delivered and there was a signature. I had no clue who the person was and I stay at home all day so I would have been here. I was also on the look out because I was expecting it. I live in apartments so I called the leasing building and they did not have it. I called UPS they said it was not their problem to call HSN. I was so upset and I talked to a manager of UPS customer service same thing was not their problem someone signed for it. Finally I called the leasing manager for my apartments and she said yeah it is down here. UPS did not even bother to bring it to my home and just stopped off there instead. Anyways I am kind of worried of ordering online again so if that happens again. I am glad you got your tickets have a great trip!!! :sunny:

Oh the UPS horror stories that I have.

The latest...I'm a pampered chef consultant and did a show in July. Two boxes shipped to my house. They tried to deliver one on a Monday, and posted a message of "no such street" on the website. Same thing with the other box on Tuesday. NO SUCH STREET???? I've lived here for 6+ years and UPS had just delivered something to my house 3 weeks earlier. And I live on a major street.

Called to verify the address was correct. Asked them to take my sister's name off the box just in case that confused them. Wednesday, one box arrives, but not the other. Call again and am told it's on the truck, should be delivered that night. It's not. I call again at 9:30 pm. They log a formal complaint and will have local delivery call me the next day. He calls and says "can't find anything on that package". UGH!! Need to call back to 800# to start a lost package process. I call and am told that I can't start the process because I'm not the shipper.

I call pampered chef and they start the process and agree to re-ship, but will not re-ship to me, so I have them send to a friend at work.

That night I get a call from UPS that the lost package is my fault because I changed the address. I can't tell you how many times I went back and forth with the woman telling her I didn't change the address.

Two days later, box mysteriously shows up on my front porch. Original label with the correct address.

My husband likes it when they screw up because then he gets to listen to me argue with them. It's never their fault!

I had ordered a new computer through my job and was having it shipped to my house. I was told that it shipped and was given the tracking #. I go online and it says that it was left on back step. BACK STEP? What back step? My house has a patio and no steps!

I go home from work and run to the yard and there is no computer box. Nothing on the front step either. I was so upset. I called UPS and they begin an investigation. Come to find out the driver stole my computer! He was fired and the amount of the system was docked from his last check. I received a new computer and they had to obtain my signature.

I'm so glad you got your docs!! Pretty nice neighbor you got there!

I've had so many feuds with UPS it just ain't funny!! That's what scares the crap out of me about having packages shipped from WDW to home because they use UPS. We pay more for FedEx at my job...but the loss of hassle is well worth it!

WOW! So many UPS horror stories! That is terrible! I am so glad that my n-bor had them and brought them over to me. I was just in tears thinking where on earth my package could be! UGH! Dang UPS!

My parents had the same thing happin. Ordered something that was being shipped UPS. The day they delivered it was the day my mom was having some boxes picked up for Purple Heart (donations). Guess what happin to the box- Purple Heart picked it up because the driver set it down with the other boxes on the driveway. :rolleyes1

In my opinion USPS isn't much better, I've never received checks, boat title, and bills. But I still manage to get junk mail! I ended up getting a PO box and so far things seem to be a little better.

Just for the other side of the coin, I've only had one problem with UPS. It was when I paid for next day shipping and it took two days. They refunded me the difference.

I have to jump in and defend the UPS in our area. We have never had a problem with any of our UPS deliveries, they have always arrived in a timely manner and the drivers have all been super nice. But then again we live in a smaller city so that could have something to do with it. Glad to hear you got your documents for Disney, I too would of been in a panick.

I think it's like anything else in life...some people have great experiences with them and some have awful experiences with them.

I also have issues with the USPS, but only in my town. I never had any problems in the other places that I lived. My husband thought I was nuts at first...and then after he moved here, he realized that I'm right. Our local post office is the pits. I've actually considered getting a PO Box in another town.

That is so horrible. I am glad that you got your computer in the end.

I have nothing but praise for our UPS driver!! He is always nice and I've always gotten what I've ordered. He even went wayyyy beyond the call of duty this spring. He delivered a package when no one was at home and noticed that our back flow valve on our sprinkler system had broken and was gushing water all over the side of the house. He managed to get it shut off (he had to have gotten soaked doing this - no way to turn it off without going thru the spray of water :umbrella: ). He wrote a little note on top of the package telling us what he did. So..........thanks MR. UPS guy - you rock!!!!!!!! :cheer2:

Sometimes its not UPS or USPS's fault. I ordered some candy from a British Website (British Chocolate) and paid for thermal shipping to make sure it would arrive without being totally melted. I got the package at 6 in the evening and when I opened the box, the cool pack was on top, then the crisps that I ordered, then the chocolate (which was melted). The box was placed on the truck at 5:30 in the morning, so it had been in the truck all day long.

The outside of the box was not marked that it was perishable or anything. The company packed the box totally incorrect by placing the cool pack on top of the other items in the box. They basically created an oven for the chocolate. They actually should have shipped the chocolate separately. I called them the day I got the package and it was after hours so I left a message. I also emailed them about the problem. After a week and a half and not hearing from them, I emailed them again. After not getting a response I was finally able to call them and they told me that they don't guarantee anything. I explained that the way they packed the box was incorrect and that they need to look into that. He would not agree with me about it and just kept saying that they don't guarantee delivery of chocolate during the summer even with the thermal pack. I said that it was poor customer service and I would not be ordering from them again and would be telling others of their poor service.

I will never buy from BritishDelights ever again.
