LoveMyDisneyCats... I know exactly how you feel! My twin boys are going to be 8 weeks old on Thursday! It's been a rough 2 months, but it's great.
Flashback to our Disney trip last October...
I was about 10 weeks pregnant (we didn't know we were having twins yet) and we wanted to tell our 4 year old daughter. She had been asking for a baby for months and months, so we decided to tell her during Wishes. We asked her what she had been wishing for and told her the wish had come true-- mommy was having a baby! I wish we taped her reaction-- she was in disbelief. And then she just started telling everyone. We were leaving MK and she was sitting in her stroller just yelling it out loud.
When we returned, we took her to our first ultrasound appointment. I remember laying there looking at the screen and thinking I saw two heads. I assumed I was wrong and just didn't know how to read ultrasounds, so I didn't ask about it. A few moments later, the tech told us the news.
My husband and I were in shock... then we hear my daughter's little voice ask "What are twins?"
Now here we are today... two baby boys. I am still in disbelief!
Answers to your questions:
1. I delivered at exactly 36 weeks. I had a scheduled C-section due to two breech babies, but the babies had their own idea and arrived 2.5 weeks before they were scheduled to be born. I was completely unprepared when my water broke at 5 AM-- I had been "willing" myself to make it to my C-section, so I had not even considered that I'd deliver early.
I had a very easy pregnancy and aside from some backache, I was fine.
They were born 5 lbs, 5 oz and 5 lbs, 6 oz and 18 inches each.
2. Everyone's been saying 3 months is ok... we waited until about then to tell everyone, but family knew sooner.
3. My twins seem to be on the same schedule. They were like this in the hospital too.
4. So far the best thing about having twins is how special I feel. I know lots of people have twins, but I feel like it's a special club.

so welcome!
Also, my husband had only wanted two kids but I wanted three... so I got my wish without any argument from him. He thinks I somehow willed it.
People did ask me a lot of questions while I was pregnant (do they run in your family? did you use IVF?). And I remember going out and having ppl STARE at my belly and step away, thinking I was going to give birth right then and there. I felt so self conscious after my 30th week!
I love these two little boys. My daughter seems well adjusted, but she does whine at night about brushing her teeth alone (she did pre-twins too). We try to praise her and give her as much attention as possible. Surprisingly, sending her for sleepovers at her grandparents and cousins seem to cheer her up. I guess she gets a lot more attention away from the house.
Good luck and feel free to PM me.
