This is just terrible. ;) We recorded one of the new MM Clubhouse shows titled "Goofy's Petting Zoo" or something like that and the kids are watching it while I am on the computer. The next thing I know they are singing a song called Shake Your Peanut!

Shake, Shake, Shake Your Peanut......Shake, Shake, Shake Your Peanut! :scared1:

That is just the song I want my two kids to be singing the next time we go out in public. I am sure that my 2 year old who does not speak as clearly will sound really interesting!

:rotfl:

 Why, whatever is wrong with that song?

my DD was singing that same song...I had to stop and question her as to what she was singing and where she learned it.
The only thing that is wrong with it is when young kids sing it...it sounds like they are singing about a male body part!:dance3:

:lmao: OK, I have tears in my eyes from picturing how embarrased you might be standing at a cash register while your little one dances and sings this. I think there's someone here with a naughty little white bunny dancing in her sig that would go nicely with this.

Something does get lost in the translation doesn't it? :rotfl:

When I first heard the song, I did a double-take too! LOL! I've always taught DS the proper names for things, but he'll often call it his peanut because he's more familiar with that term than the real one, I guess.

:rotfl: My kids watched that this morning too but I didn't notice the song. However your post reminded me that DD came in from playing outside and asked for the flavor blasted goldfish. I gave her a little container of them and sent her back out to play with DH and DS. She comes in a little while later and and I swear says, "Wow those were really cheesy bast**ds." Did you get that? I didn't know where she would know that word from so I questioned her about what she said and then heard, "Those were cheesy blasted mom." Of course now I will only think of those crackers as being cheesy bast**ds.

LOL

That reminds me of when my oldest son was 4 and my friend was over with her 5 year old daughter. My son ran out of the bathroom with his pants down and said "Mommy my ***** is red." My friend's daughter started laughing and said, "He calls his weiner a peanut!"

(Yes, I did immediately send my son back to the bathroom and went to check him out and yes, I did tell him not to have his pants down when company was over.)

Edited to add: I can't believe we can't say the p word. That's a bit much.

WOW! Every day must be a new adventure for you ladies! :rotfl:

( I dont have kids, so I find all of this VERY interesting! LOL)

My little guy is in LOVE with the new peanut song. We've been hearing the dulcet tones of a 2 y.o. blasting out the peanut song since Friday.

Those younguns can be hard to understand, can't they? A few months ago I could have sworn mine was saying "mama's a f-er." :scared1: :scared1:
Turns out he was saying "momma's freckle!"

Oy. :lmao:

OMG OMG, my 2 year old son has been singing that song all day long. My dh and I kept looking at each other saying "OMG WHAT IS HE SAYING???" He finally said it was from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and I just remembered this thread. I am SO glad we are not the only ones... gotta tell him that is an at home song because no, it does not sound like peanuts when he sings it.

Everytime I hear this song I'm caught off guard. I think they're sing Shake your pe... well, you know.;)

I don't know what Disney was thinking with that one.
