OMG - I'm going to Disney World!

I had to post this here since my fellow disers are the only ones who could understand my excitment right now! My father had to back out of my parents upcoming trip so I get to take his place. A mother/daughter trip to WDW with NO KIDS!!! This isn't something I would have planned (I know I'll feel guilty leaving the kiddos behind) but I just couldn't pass this up! My mother and I are the disney-nuts in our family, being able to go on this trip just the two of us has me more excited then I can explain! THIS IS GOING TO BE AWESOME! And an extra special shout-out to my DH who very quickly stated it was no big deal for him to be in charge of all three kids for a week while I'm gone. Best part is I can go on this trip with no worries as he's an awesome Dad, and more then does his fair share in our relationship. So I'm off to Disney... in a little over three weeks! OH MY GOD!!!!!

You're going to love kid-free Disney, especially since you'll be with another Disney nut! Your DH sounds like quite the catch. Gotta love that our generation of men were brought up expecting to pull their equal weight in terms of parenting duties!

It's funny, all my Mom friends are shocked about this. Half because they can't believe I would leave kids with DH and half because they can't believe DH would be willing to do this. He's the DAD. Darn right he's going to do this, Mommy needs a vacation!!! He does more then pull his fair weight not only with our kids, but with the chores too. I am a lucky woman! This will be his second time alone with all three as I went on a cruise with my Mom last year when DS was 7 and twins were 18mo. DH is a keeper!
