I don't know how I did it, but DH agreed to APs a couple of months ago when we made our reservations for the end of May. Well, tonight I ordered mine so I could order my DDE card before we go. And in just a couple of weeks I'll begin calling daily for reservations in April of next year so we can use our passes again! I just cannot believe that I finally get an AP and DH agreed to it!

I cannot wait to see the new show at MGM, to ride Soarin', to see the Flower & Garden show, so watch Cinderellabration, and to spend time with my boyfriend Steven Tyler at Rock 'n Roller Coaster! ;)

I know what you mean! My husband (who's not the Disney freak - that's me) said, "Oh, just get the AP" and I said, "You know that means we'll be going back within the year?", and he said, "Yeah, just get it.", and I thought, who's stolen his body? :rotfl:

So I'm with you - pretty crazy, hey?

Ha!! Mine kind of rolled his eyes when I said I'll be making reservations for April, but deep down inside, I know he enjoys it there, too. Plus, I'll let him golf more knowing that we'll be coming back in less than a year. Now I just need my certificate so I can order my DDE card!

I'm just so excited, I can hardly stand it!

I bought APs for myself and DS13 this yr. We'll be using them 11 of our 14 days in Aug.
Have plans to use them again Aug 06 for 5days before our Disney cruise.
and maybe just maybe I can book another trip before that?

You know, Christa, I'm jealous. If I were in GA I wouldn't think a second about an annual pass. But here, it was a real miracle, because my dh knows our options are either flying a family of 5 twice in a year or *gasp* driving with them. Don't know which is worse, the money, or the baby in the car for 18 hours. So I'm just happy we get to go twice. And I know what you mean - I think secretly he's not so upset about being locked into another trip, if for no other reason than he knows how much I and my kids will like it. He's a softie - awww.

Well, DH is pretty tolerant of our 1x/year trips, so I'm pushing it to get two in less than one year. It is convenient living so close to WDW, but I'm not sure how often he'll go for the passes.

I so agree about my DH being happy when we're happy. My DD and I always have a blast there!

You know what it means having an AP? :cool1:

You will find a lot of reasons to go more often cause...you have the entrance for free :goodvibes

It is the same with us. We have been to DLRP 4 times from 96 till 02 and then.....bought us AP´s in March 2003 :cool1:
now...only two years later we have been almost 25 times with over 80 days..and three more trips are already booked till July :rotfl: :rotfl:

I am so glad I am not alone in this boat.... :grouphug:

My "exchange vouchers"...bright green things...arrived in the mail yesterday...our very first WDW PAPs...we have never bought before because we go once a year at most...until we bought DVC last Thanksgiving and this year we're going twice before 2006. I'm working on a spring break trip...can't figure how to convince DH on that one...might be better to wait awhile and spring...haha..no pun intended...on him...

And for those still pondering the APs...do the math...we have a 6 day trip in June and an 8 day trip at Christmas planned...the cost of an AP with the DVC discount was the better deal than buying MYW tickets for either trip. Yeah, it's a lot upfront for the tickets, but in the long run it is a better deal. This is how DH became convinced...I was still unsure because of that upfront cost and he said...just but them and get it over with...so I did.

Now, I'm waiting a couple of weeks to do the DDE...called this morning and the CM told me they will now only send letters to your home or to Guest Relations at Epcot...not an email. Also, given the DDE activates from the date of purchase it makes sense to wait a bit more so the APs and DDE expire closer together. CM said the DDE temp letter is actually being phased out and replaced with a temp card...in either case IF mailed to my home it will take about 2 weeks to arrive...so second week of May I will call back and get the DDE.

And once you go with APs, you will never be able to be without them! We have been doing APs ever since we became DVC members back in '97.

We took one trip to WDW on regular tickets and immediately changed our remaining days into annual passes. With the DVC discount now, I cannot imagine being without them.

It is nice to be able to drive down from GA often for trips, but I swear that 11 hour ride on the way home last time versus 7 hours max because of road work gets old too.

Thank goodness I love that mouse! :earsgirl:

Guten Tag, Renate. Or maybe Grüss Gott? Wie geht es Ihnen? Ich wohnte in Nürnberg für drei Jahre. (Thank goodness for Babelfish because I had obviously forgotten some of my German!)

Believe me, I'll try to get in more trips over this year, if I can! We have the option of staying at SoG, so that might help convince the DH! I reallllly want to go down for the Food & Wine Festival.

Good info to know about DDE! I guess I'll just call a couple of weeks before we go and have them do an Epcot pick up for me. We'll be staying at BCV, so it will be easy to run over there and get it! Woooooo, I cannot wait!!

Oh gosh...don't let my husband see this. I don't think he'll agree to it again until a couple of years down the road. Maybe at that point I can get him to agree to buy me more points, too!! :cheer2:

I'm on the south side of town, and we take 16 over to 75 to avoid the 75/285 traffic. I dread going through Macon/Perry and now I hear that it's bad in Valdosta. I'll have to consult the map and consider taking 27 into WDW this time around! If there's one thing I hate, it's traffic!

Oh, I just can't stand it!! My exchange certificate card arrived today!!! I'm going to call on Monday for my DDE card. This is so darn exciting. How goofy am I?! :bounce:
