OMG! I Just Saw The Shuttle Launch....

Thnks for sharing your photo! I love the shuttle and it is always a thrill to see it take off and land---even from my television vantage point.

Night launches are so much easier to see if you're not really close. We're about 130 miles south of Kennedy Space Center.

ITA! It was too cloudy for us to see it, but we still went outside and looked anyways. I would like to see one launch in person.

The shuttle launches bring back memories for me when I was in school and would watch the launches. I made my 9 and 6 year olds come out and watch thre launch today. I got choked up as well and had to explain to my dd9 why it is emotional for some people - especially at about 1 minute out.

But she did think it was 'way cool' and asked a lot of questions!

We usually watch it from the front yard. But today I had to work, so I watched it from the Polynesian beach. :cool1:

That looks like the pic I took of a daytime launch. I was at Universal talking to a couple from Australia and they all of a sudden there it was. It was only there for a few seconds and this is what I got.

Woo! I've only seen shuttle launches off TV. XD But it's cool to see a picture of it!

A big giant cloud blocked our view up here. I did see the trail and that is all.
